Book~

Angel decided to tag along with me going home. But she didn't really agree until I told her she could meet Ashura's sister. But I had to stop at the store first. The apple juice was almost gone, and we needed a few other things.

I parked in Wal-Mart's parking lot since it was the closest. We got out of the car and started to go to the entrance. When I felt a small hand grab my and hold it, a smile automatically appeared on my face. It felt nice to know Angel trusts me like this. But I really hope people don't think I'm her brother or dad... yet.

"Book, why do we have to go to the store?" she asked as we walked through the outdoor living area.

"I need more apple juice. We're almost out,"

"Anything else?"

"Hair dye." I figured Ashura was planning to get me some for my birthday next week, but he'll probably get the wrong shade or something. So I just thought it'd be best if I got it myself.

"You're dying your hair? What color?" she asked.

"Red." And red dye was the first color I saw when we made it the the hair aisle. I walked over to it and grabbed it. It's perfect.

By the time we got home, I knew someone was up in the house. I was expecting it to be one of Ashura's parents, but was surprised when I saw him half asleep at the table, slowly eating some waffles. I don't even think he really noticed that Angel and I walked through the door. So I placed his keys on the coffee table and walked over to him.

"You're awake," I said, trying to start a conversation. Ashura didn't really say anything. But when he almost fell from Angel hugging him, I think he kind of woke up.

"Jesus!" he yelled, grabbing the edge of the counter. I couldn't help but laugh at the sight. Even Angel was laughing at him. "Don't laugh! I'm tired as hell," he complained. I walked up next to him and smiled.

"It was funny though. You should've seen your face!" I laughed again. Ashura sighed and picked up Angel, setting her in his lap.

"Ashura! Ashura! Can I have the rest of the waffles?" she asked politely.

"Go for it, kiddo," he said, ruffling her hair. A grin appeared on her face and she began to dig into the food.

"So why are you eating waffles at 2 P.M.?" I asked. Ashura chuckled and shrugged his shoulders.

"I was hungry. And dad wasn't up, so he couldn't make something, and you weren't here, so I couldn't bug you," he said. I sighed and shook my head. "Where did you go anyway?" Ashura asked. Is there a way to say I stole your car to pick up our future daughter and went shopping for hair dye and apple juice and not make it sound weird?

"I had to do things," I said awkwardly. I wonder if he even noticed I stole his keys. Probably not. "You don't need to worry about it," I mentioned, kissing his cheek.

"Ewie!" Angel said before shoving the last waffle in her mouth. I chuckled at her. "Oh!" she gasped.

"Angel, chew and swallow before speaking," Ashura said. She did as she was told and a bright smile appeared on her face.

"Book's dying his hair!" Oh no.

"Book?" Ashura looked directly at me.

"U-Um...." Damn it Angel! I love you, but you need to stay quiet sometimes! "I-I...I didn't want to wait until my birthday," I said hoping that's a good enough excuse. I was given a look of questioning before a smile appeared.

"Fine. Go for it babe," Ashura said. He kissed my lips and sent me on my way to the bathroom. That went way better than what I thought it would. But hopefully the house won't burn down while I'm doing this.

"You almost done, Book?" I could barely hear whoever was in the doorway. The water from the faucet was overpowering my hearing. So I put up one of my fingers, and finished rinsing out my hair. I then wrapped it in a towel and turned and saw Angel standing there.

"Sorry, I couldn't hear with the water running. What'd you need, sweetie?" I asked, bending down in front of here.

"I wanted to know if you were almost done. But you seem like you are, so can we watch movies now?" she asked. I could tell she was getting impatient. All the girl was doing was bouncing in place and pulling on my hand. "Pweeeaasseee?" she begged, giving me the puppy dog eyes. I sighed loudly and ruffled her hair.

"Alright, alright. Just no more of the eye thing. You're gonna make my heart melt,"I said, picking her up. I never realized, but Angel is way lighter than what she looks. And even for being thirteen, she acts way younger. It must've been her lack of actually growing up in a household. But soon this is all going to change. "Is anyone else even up yet?" I asked Ashura as I walked into the living room, carrying Angel.

"No. I mean, it's only six, Book." Ugh. That's no excuse for this family. We're always up at this time. "Maybe they are up though. I have no clue," he mentioned.

"They could be in bed looking at the ceiling. That's what I do when I don't wanna get up," Angel said before she tapped my arm. I set her on the floor and she went over to Ashura and sat in his lap. I frowned and stuck my tongue out at her. She giggled and copied me.

"Really you two?" We looked over to my boyfriend and started laughing. He just shook his head and pulled me over to sit next to him. "Did it turn out well?" he asked. I nodded and unwrapped my hair. Ashura mumbled something, but I couldn't hear it too well. The expression on his face shows he likes it though.

"Book's hair is red!" Angel shouted. Ashura and I laughed at her. She's lucky she's cute.

"It looks good, Book." Lips brushed over mine and my body immediately started to react. This isn't really the time and place for this to be happening. I pulled away before anything else could happen. I could tell Ashura was upset, but not in front of Angel. She's still way too innocent for that, and that's not going to change anytime soon.

"Thank you," I mumbled with a slight smile.

It was quiet after that, minus Frozen playing on the TV. It was pretty hilarious that Angel and I sung pretty much every song together. And of course, Ashura just facepalmed at us and sighed. I think the worst one was Let It Go. That one ticked him off the most.

Towards the end of the movie, everyone started waking up, Jacklyn being the first. "Don't you think it's too early for Disney movies?" she yawned. Angel had popped up and yelled 'It's never too early for Disney!' and proceeded to continue watching Beauty and the Beast. She walked up to us and stood behind the couch. "Who's the kid?"

"My future daughter," said Ashura. Jacklyn got the most worried expression on her face.

"Don't you think you're too young for that?" she asked. "And besides, you need money to take care of a kid. You don't even have a job,"

"You don't know that. Plus I'm the alpha twin." Great, now they're going to start arguing. I turned my attention to Angel. She looked like she was about to fall asleep in Ashura's lap. I guess it wouldn't hurt for her to stay the night here again. She'll just sleep in my room again. I stood up and grabbed her hand. She managed to get free from Ashura's arms and she let go of my hand.

"I'm tired, Book," she mumbled. I can't with this child. I picked her up and carried her to my room. I walked through the door and got her all tucked in for the night. I kissed the top of her head and told her goodnight.
