Another picture of Ashura ❤

"Where were you?? We walked everywhere!" I sort of yelled. Angel looked up and me and frowned.

"I didn't know where you wanted me to wait, so I just came here..." she said. She's too cute. I can't stay mad at her for too long. She's too much of a precious cinnamon roll.

"Alright alright. Let's just get home already," I sighed. We got in Ashura's car and headed home. And of course he and I were holding hands during the whole car ride. I could tell my little cinnamon roll sitting in the back seat was confused.

When we got home, I immediately walked inside and laid on the couch. I was seriously exhausted and wanted to sleep all day tomorrow. Ashura kneeled down next to me and smiled. "I'll be in the back room," he whispered before getting up and doing exactly what he told me. He hasn't gone back there in months. I wonder why he now just decided to go back there.

"Book, are you sure you two aren't dating?" Angel asked, sitting on the floor next to me. I ruffled her hair and smiled. A grin appeared on her face as I did so. No words were needed to explain it, and I could tell she was excited about us two being in a relationship. She must really ship it.

"Do you have any homework?" I asked. Angel shook her head. "Do you wanna watch TV?" I asked again. Same response. I thought for a moment. What do kids like these days? "Do you wanna take a nap with me?" She nodded and stood up. I scooted over and she laid next to me.

"Book, can you tell me a story?" I swear, she is not the age I'm thinking she is. But she's adorable, so she's off the hook.

Plus I really don't know any stories. Wait, yes I do. "Alright. What about a love story about a vampire and a human?" Angel's face lit up. "Once there was a male vampire who was hunting like he always does. When he pulled his next victim, a lady, into the alley way he always preyed in, he didn't take the woman's life. Instead, he gazed upon the beauty that was in front of him, and he instantly fell in love."

"Then what?" Angel asked. I chuckled quietly and smiled.

"He asked her out on a date," I said. "And she did say yes. He was amazed that she wasn't terrified of him, especially since he almost killed her. But just like he did, she fell in love at first sight. So after their first date, they spent every moment they could together. Then finally, the vampire decided it was time for the next level." Angel gasped.

"They get married!" she beamed. I laughed at her reaction.

"And they even have a beautiful child together. But they were very hesitant about that decision."

"Why? If they loved each other, why wouldn't they want a child together?" she asked. I sighed and looked around, thinking of how I wanted to explain it.

"They were afraid for the child. The two of them didn't know what the outcome was going to be since half human and half vampire were never a thing. Of course you had your other hybrids, but in the supernatural world, humans weren't brought into the picture." Angel still looked confused. I really don't know else to explain it. But for my little cinnamon roll, I'll try. "The two of them didn't want their child to be neglected or made fun of because he was half human. But after he was born, all those worries disappeared, and the three of them lived together as a happy family." I hope she'll buy that ending.

"Such a lovely story, Book. Did your parents tell you that story a lot?" Damn she asks a lot of questions. But it is true. Moma and Papa did tell me this story all the time when I was little. And it took me forever to realize that it was about them.

"Yeah, they did tell me this a lot, and what'd you know, it was about them," I said, hoping she'll take the hint. Apparently she did because her face lit up the same way it did during the story.

"You're half human!?!?" I nodded in response. Angel snuggled up closer to me, her face showing the biggest smile. "That's so cool!" I laughed a little at her reaction and hugged her tightly.

"We should probably take that nap now, don't you think?" I suggested. She agreed and closed her eyes. Soon, her breathing stayed constant and not too long after, I fell asleep with her.

I woke up to the sound of a piano playing a lovely tune. Then it clicked in my mind. That's Ashura playing the piano in the back room. I carefully got up, making sure not to wake Angel, and sped walked to where Ashura was.

I opened the door slightly and peeked in. There he was, writing down music on one of the sheets he had on the music rack. He seemed to have noticed me and motioned to come in.

"You finally decided to touch that thing after how many months?" I said, walking in the room. Ashura chuckled and shook his head.

"More like a few years, Book." I sat next to him on the bench and looked over his shoulder. "It's not that interesting yet," he said. I shrugged my shoulders and leaned on him.

"It's pretty interesting from my perspective," Ashura put his arm around me and placed the music he was working on back on the music rack. He seemed a bit troubled about something. Probably just his music. He hasn't written anything in forever, so it's still surprising to me that he even decided to continue it. But when we hit our ninth year at school, he just...gave up.

"You know that one song you like?" Ashura asked. Thanks for narrowing it down.

"Which one? You know I have a lot," I replied.

"It's foreign and it's about cats I think..." Oh! I know exactly which one he's talking about. Why he wants to know it makes me wonder though.

    "Pink Cat...Why?" I asked.

"Oh, no reason..." Liar. "And one more thing. Red or blue?"

"Red," I said. Ashura sighed and stroked my hair a little.

"You're gonna have one hell of a surprise then..." Oh dear, I'm terrified now. The door squeaked and I immediately sat up and turned around. Angel was standing in the doorway, rubbing her eyes. So cute!!! "I thought she was asleep?" I nodded and motioned her to come to me. She obeyed and stood beside Ashura and me.

"You okay sweetheart?" I asked, concerned. Her eyes were all puffy so she must have been crying. Angel shook her head and tears started running down her face. I quickly sat her in my lap and wiped the tears from her eyes.

"Angel, what's wrong?" Ashura's voice was stern. He seemed more worried than I was.

"I-I...I had a ni-nightmare..." she whimpered. She snuggled up closer to me, sniffling from time to time. I stroked her hair and looked over at Ashura. "Book...?" she mumbled. I nuzzled her head, letting her know that I was listening. "Promise me you and Ashura will stay with me..."

"Of course we will, right?" I nudged him and he laughed.

"Right," he said, wrapping his arms around the two of us.
