Stiles' ankle felt slightly better. He was able to walk a bit now but he still had a bad limp. Scott and Isaac had somehow found a cane that he could use to get around the apartment. It was slow going but he didn't feel like an invalid any longer.

He had made it to bed and slid in between the sheets. The exhaustion had taken him down almost the second his cheek hit the pillow.

But it didn't keep the nightmares away. Blurry shapes and lots of noise was the start of his nightmare. He was getting attacked in an ally.

He cried out for help but no one came as the man kept dragging him deeper into the ally. Deeper into the darkness.

He called out for Derek. But still no one came to his rescue.

He cried out again in fear as the faceless man threw him to the ground and started to kick him.

Then suddenly Derek's voice filled his dream. Calling his name. Stiles tried to fight off the man dragging him into the darkness.

He kept calling for Derek. "Derek! Help me! Help! Please!"

"Stiles... Stiles... Stiles wake up!"

Suddenly Stiles gasped awake and felt Derek holding him in his arms. "Derek!"

"Stiles I'm here! I've got you" His voice is so soft and gentle and his touch is tender and kind. He feels so safe in those arms. Clinging to Derek he is shaking.

"It-it was a nightmare..." Stiles clings to Derek and is still shivering.

"I know... I'm here." Large warm hands caress through his hair and arms gather him to a solid chest and lips kiss his cheek softly. "I'm not leaving you."

Derek pulls him to lay down with him and gently rubs his back. Stiles curls into him and shivers again. "I... it was the guy...from the ally..."

"He wont hurt you Stiles. I swear it." Stiles felt Derek tighten his hold on his body. "I will protect you." Those soft warm lips found his and captured him in a slow soft kiss.

Stiles melted against him.
