Chapter 6
First Day

IT'S my first day today in my new job at The Smith Group and Company. It was my first experience to be an office girl, kaya 7:30 AM palang ay nasa company na ako. I'm not so excited, but this is my 1st day to that Ceo, Mr. Stiffen Smith.

Before I proceed to my boss office ay nauna muna ako sa office ni Mrs. Dela Cruz, iyon kasi ang bilin niya kahapon sa akin. I think she is the one who send me to him later. Pero bago iyon may mga instructions muna ito sa akin bago ako dalhin sa magiging boss ko.

"Hi. Good morning Ma'am" I greet as I entered her office.

"Morning too Lorraine, thats good your early as I expected." Sabi nito ng nakangiti.

I shyly smiles. "Thanks po. Uhm, coffee po ma'am?" Alok ko rito ng kape na nabili ko sa vendo machine ng canteen.

"Thanks Ija, tamang tama hindi pa ako nakapag kape."

"Your office outlook suits you Ija."

I shyly smiled again. "H-hindi ho ba bastusin ang aura ko dito ma'am? Wala na kasi akong mahanap na ibang pang office outfit e." I said as I scanned my black skirt, white silk top and my coat.

"No, ano kabang bata ka e napaka bagay nga sayo nyan e. Tiyak unang araw mo palang marami agad aaligid sayo dito." Kiming ngumiti nalang ako sa kanya. "O s'ya this is your handbook and pen. I already write there the latest sched of Mr. Ceo, just please remind it to him 10 minutes before the said schedule or meetings."

"Noted, ma'am."

Marami pa itong hinabilin at mga instructions sa akin. Inubos na muna nito ang kape bago paman siya tumayo at inaya na akong tumungo sa opisina ng CEO.

Saktong 08:00 AM nang marating na namin ang office ni, Mr. Smith. Ma'am knock three times before she opened the mahogany door.

I gulped when the door has already opened. Sakto kasing pagbukas niyon ay nagtama ang mga mata namin ni Mr. Smith sa isa't isa. I gaps when he scan me up and down to my heels. Bahagyang nanlambot ang aking tuhod sa uri ng paninitig niyang iyon.

"Good morning, Sir." Mrs. dela Cruz greet him as we step inside the office. Ma'am look at me. "Greet our big boss, Lorraine." She whispered.

Shit! Kailan pa ako natutulala sa isang lalaki lang at sa lalaking ito pa?

Lorraine! Stop staring. Trabaho pinunta mo, hindi ang titigan siya.

"G-Good morning, Sir."

"Morning." His responds. "Take your seats." Tinuro nito ang upuan na nasa harap ng table niya.

"Sir." He face Mrs. Dela cruz. "Ms. Brega are ready to work with you as your personal secretary starting today." Pangunguna ng ginang.

"Good to hear that." Then he face me at nagtama ulit ang mga mata namin ng hindi ako nakahanda "Lorraine, may I know my schedules for today?"

What the! Oh my God I don't even know.

"Look at your handbook, Lorraine." Ma'am softly uttered.

I silently thanks her for rescuing me. Agad kong binuklat ang mini handbook na hawak ko.

Shit! Lorraine. Ang tanga mo naman at nakalimutan mo agad ang sinabi sa'yo kanina.

"U-uhm. 09:00 Am meeting with the new investor at the grand conference area, it will lasts until two hours. And 11:30 Am, a lunch meeting with-" Napakurap-kurap ako and then I double check again what's really written on the piece of first page. Pero hindi nag-iiba yung nababasa ko e.
