Promise

-Lucy's POV-

I wake up, rub my eyes and look over to Natsu. He is still asleep, he looks cute when he is sleeping... I wonder what time it is. I check my alar- 11!? WE OVERSLEPT!

"DRAGNEEL! GET UP!" I shake Natsu violently. He slowly sits up, ruffling his messy hair.

"L-Luce, keep it down...I'm tryna sleep"

"THATS THE POINT, WE OVERSLEPT!" I shout back, trying my bed to get his head in gear. He is so lazy, am I honestly going to have to do this everyday? Help me.

"W-whats the time then Luce?" he mumbles, he is so relaxed it's unreal my yelling should have done the job but this guy is impossible.

"IT'S 11, GET UP!"

"W-why does it matter what time it is anyways? It's not like we are set when to leave or if we should do activities or ever eat!" he smirks at me. I glare at him, he is kinda right. I just don't want to be stuck with him alone.

"W-well..." I mutter.

"We could always stay here Luce, just me and you ey?" he grins at me.

"Pfft...Like I would want to be stuck with you, perv. You are just as bad as Fullbuster. Now get up, I'm not going down on my own" I turn my head away, he puts his warm hand on my shoulder. My heart starts racing violently again. Why does this always happen?

"As you wish princess" he tilts his head.

"Don't call me that" I roll my eyes at him. He blows a strand of salmon hair out of his face and smiles at me. I feel the heat rising to my cheeks, before he notices I walk to the bathroom and get changed.

Today I'm wearing a plain black top, a red checkered flannel and some blue skinny jeans. I put my hair up and brush my teeth.

"LUCE! ARE YOU DONE YET?" I hear Natsu shout, who couldn't hear him!? I open the bathroom door and he has his ear layed on it, well did. He topples onto me, and we both fall to the floor.

We both go bright red, his eyes are fixed on me. Trying to make things less awkward I burst out laughing, he does too. Phew.

"Were you listening in on me Dragneel? I was just brushing my teeth stupid!"

"H-heh...No!" He rolls over and puts his hand out, helping me up. Instead of being a typical girl and taking it, I grab his hand and pull him back down. Once again, we both burst into laughter.

I'm so comfortable around Natsu. He makes me feel safe, he makes me feel loved...In a friend way that is. This time I get up first, throwing Natsu onto the floor, I offer my hand and say for reassurance "If you dare pull me down Dragneel, you will regret it" he giggles at me and takes my hand.

I throw on some combat boots and we head out of the cabin, hiding the key as we leave.

"Natsu, if ever one of us is not back at the cabin in the late hours lets make a promise?" I say.

"What type of promise?" He looks at me, still walking.

"Like...A promise on where to find each other and m-maybe we could exchange numbers so we can check up on each other?" I say nervously.

"Sounds good too me, but why are you so concerned?"

"I-I...I'm NOT! I just don't want to go out looking for you again, that's all" I blush and look away, hopefully he doesn't notice, he always makes a stupid comment.

"Okay Luce, whatever makes you happy but we have to make the promise official" he stops and stands in front of me.

"W-what do you mean?" I question.

"Hmmm..." Natsu taps his chin in thought. "How about...A kiss! To steal the deal, ey?" He grins.

"W-WHAT!? NO! YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND N-NATSU? WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I WOULD DO THAT I MEAN I WOULDN'T NOT BUT, OH THATS NOT THE POINT WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS LIKE THIS DRAGNEEL?WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE NORMAL, WHY DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO FEEL LIKE THIS AROUND YOU!? JUST BE NORMAL DRAGNEEL. BE FREAKING NORMAL!" I shout, without pausing. I look to him, he is shell-shocked... I guess I spoke before thinking it through. No boy has every said anything like that too me before, he took me in shock. I said too much.

"I-I was just kidding Luce..." He looks down. I really did mess up, didn't I?

"I d-didn't mean that Natsu...I'm sorry...Lets seal the promise properly then?" I smile, lifting his chin up.

"Okay, I have an idea"

"Why do you always have to make such big of a deal with things? Can we just pinky promise or something then get food already?" I moan.

"Nope, food comes afterwards" He puts his hand in his pocket and grabs a packet of haribos out, he opens them up and gets a gummy ring out. He slides it onto my finger.

"Natsu, what is this? Some sort of proposal because no thanks Dragneel, I'd rather die" I puff.

"Harsh, and no. This is my token of appreciation for you being so concerned for me, don't eat it though. If you have this uhh gummy ring then I will always be with you"

"You are so weird Dragneel. All I need is your number stupid"

"Well you can have that as well then"

"So, promise you won't ever leave in the night, or day quite frankly, again?" I smile.

"Promise"

Don't worry, there will be drama soon. *Cough* Lisanna drama ooo *cough* but I can't help myself with all these Nalu moments, I just ejfrakrtgjnrkngjk oops.
