Fencing

-Lucy's POV-

My sleep is interrupted when I feel hot hands shaking me with my shoulders.

"Murrrr" I groan, slowly sitting up.

"Get up, Get up, Get up!!" Natsu yells.

"Jeez, what's the rush?" I rub my eyes and stretch out my arms.

"We are going fencing!" Natsu announces excitedly.

"What, so you can cheat again?"

"You are still holding a grudge over that? And no, I want too teach you!" he smiles brightly at me, grabbing my wrist and dragging me too the bathroom.

"Fine, fine...But no matter how much you try too teach me I am always better" I tease him, locking the bathroom door and getting changed. I brush my teeth and do the other necessities and then tie my hair into a high pony. I walk out too a figgity Natsu, he really is excited too go... He is such a kid. "C'mon then" I grumble, putting my shoes on. We both walk outside and head over too the fencing spare ground, where people can practise.

"Step 1, get our gear on!" Natsu tells me.

"Jee, I could have never guessed." I go get changed and so does Natsu, getting into fencing gear.

I grab a mask and put it over my face, Natsu walks out of his changing room and scratches his head.

"Where did she go?..." Hahahah! He doesn't know it's me with the mask!

"BOO!" I jump out, making Natsu litrally jump. All he does is punch my shoulder and drag me outside.

We go over too the court, nobody is here as it's early and fencing doesn't even start. We shouldn't really be here but Natsu doesn't really care so I guess I don't... He lifts me over the fence and jumps over himself.

"I could have got over myself" I moan. Natsu just laughs at my comment and starts swinging his sword around. "What are you doing?..." I say

"Trying too get my bearings and get comfortable, you should too" I just roll my eyes at him, he is really serious about teaching me ey? I copy his movements, studying him carefully. I'm only doing this so I can totally thrash him with his own tricks!

"Now you hold the sword like this" He waves his hand next too my face showing me where too put your thumb and all that. I puff at him, I don't want to seem like I'm enjoying this because quite frankly I'm not. "For the swings you put one foot in front of the other and step, putting your sword out if the enemy does this you take a step back with a foot in front like before. It seems easy but it's not, when you were against me you just trashed your sword around violently when fencing is really an art you know Luce?" I nod at him, snickering too myself. I swing my sword, not making much improvement. I really suck at this...My swinging around does the trick really but I appreciate him trying.

"Nonono...You're doing it all wrong" Natsu states making me look down embarrassed.

Unexpectedly he grabs my waist from behind and pulls me closer. He puts his hand over mine, the one holding the sword' and puts his hand around mine.

"U-uhh" I mutter, blushing a crimson colour. He swung his hand with mine showing me how you fence like a real pro. I don't listen too anything he says, all I can think about is his presence and him being s-so close... Although this usually phases me, around Natsu I'm fine with it.

"I think I got it N-Natsu" I pull my hand away, embarrassed. He flashes me a smile.

"Go on then, show me!" I swing my sword and step just as he taught me, all perfectly! Maybe I did pay attention, somehow? He claps at me making me giggle, I hate being praised so I find it amusing. I pull my mask up and put my thumbs up.

"Now I can beat you!" I snicker.

"That's another day Luce"

"Yes sir" I look down realising time has been flying...In a few days I will be returning home.

"What's wrong?" Natsu gives me a concerned look and lifts my chin up.

"Well...Take that stupid helmet off I can't take you seriously!" I bark. He laughs at me and pulls his helmet up. "Okay good...But you do realise we only have a few days til' the end of camp N-Natsu"

"Time flys, ey?" He frowns.

"Time flys when your having fun...Honestly Natsu, being around you I have had the best time of my life" I blush, looking up at his onyx eyes. They stare back at me.

"L-Luce..." He whispers, pulling me closer. I go an even brighter red as he unexpectedly closes the gap between us and kisses me softly on the lips. I go bright red and he slowly pulls away. He rubs the back of his head, blushing at me and looking down at the floor.

"N-Natsu" I mutter. "I-I..I have been feeling these strange things whenever I'm around you Natsu" He tilts his head at me. "L-Like my heart races and I feel hot and and ugh why am I even saying this?!"

"Lucy"

"Is that all you have too say Dragneel?! Forget I-I said that!" Natsu pulls me into a hug and whispers in my ear.

"I love you too Lucy"
