Head in the Clouds {Poetry}

Life At No Cost

dark clouds above your head.

mind plagued and filled with lead.

your stomach cluttered and lost.

now you see your life at no cost.

it hurts when i open my arms,

but then you run into harm.

foul taste on your tongue and in your mind.

now you can see where your heart led.

fight for me, fight for life.

put down the blade, put down the knife.

fill your lungs with passion.

maybe then your heart will show compassion.

I don't care about the pain in my heart.

take in knowledge, stay smart.

even if your stomach is cluttered and lost.

i see your life at a high cost.
