Gwen Hamilton stood at the gate exit of Vnukovo International Airport. She walked towards the luggage pick up station suited up in a brown tight jacket, jet black pants and boots. Her mind was off, wandering about the events of the past three days.

The unconfirmed murder of her best friend, Gabriel Boulevard, the call from his attacker, Veronica Adamovich and her sudden work proposal to ensure her confidentiality.

Gwen was offered a job by her high school crush, Thomas Hood, who was soon to be heir to a very important hotel company in Australia. What she did not know was the events bound to happen by the acceptance of that proposal. She eventually fell in love with this man, but at the start of their first mission a mysterious woman came into the scene. She demanded the marriage of her and Thomas, but was denied it when she came to know the relationship between him and Gwen

How insolent can she be? Coming between a blooming love.

Clouded by envy, she appeared at the masquerade ball, where the mission was going to be held by obtaining evidence of a fraud made by an associate company to the hotel chains. But the evening ended with the appearance of Gwen's best friend as the heir of the enemy company, and thus, resulting in shock and later on, the assassination of him by the envious Veronica.

Thus Gwen Hamilton was obligated confidentiality, even tough she was present at the time of the murder. Her silence was exchanged with the safety of her loved ones.

Now, she was bound to the ill doings of this woman.

Gwen may be a walking corpse, rotting from the inside. Her eyes were no longer bright, she had shadows under them. That is why she brought sunglasses, ignoring the probability of snow. Nevertheless, she was exhausted. As a result of the previous events, she started taking pills for rest and anxiety. She told herself many times that the last thing she would do was to take any drugs for her body, for she preferred natural remedies.

But at the moment, that was not convenient.

At least her black hair was styled and her face plastered with make up. It hid the tireness in her body.

No? Okay. That's not good at all.

She yanked her luggage of the electric machine, and placed it down on the floor. Her mind remembered the time her best friend, Ember Vega, came back from the United States to spend summer vacation with her and their other introverted best friend, Alexa Valdez.

But she dismissed the thought as something of the past. Those moments where over now.

Her hand grabbed the remaining luggage, and walked away.

The click of her boots sent echoes all around her, for it was too early and the airport was not that crowded.

Outside, there was still darkness, but dawn was approaching as the people on board her flight made their way out the arrival glass doors.

The text that Veronica sent her was a very odd one.

The errand is for you to bring some documents back from the Adamovich manor, along side a person that you will escort back here. My bodyguard, Tamok, will be waiting for you at the exit, and he will acompany you at all cost.

Who is this person that I have to bring back? She pounded on that thought over and over, until her eyes went to her last name on a a white sheet of paper.

The hands that held it belonged to Tamok, the body guard that was present when Veronica drugged Gwen the night of the murder.

A chill went through her body at the familiarity of that night.
