I woke up, feet still froze cold in the water, but somehow my body was on the shore in some mud. I was naked and frozen cold but alive. Still bleeding and in pain. Even though the pain was there, the first thing I noticed was the blood sucking corpse near by. And not one that I know. I pulled myself out of the water and attempted to cover myself up. "Who's there?" I yelled in a firm voice.
"How did you know?" A strange face came out from behind a tree. He was pale, obviously, with pale blonde hair and surprisingly piercing yellow eyes. I stared at this stranger. He isn't like other vampires.
"It's obvious." I simply replied. I was shocked and almost dumbfounded.
"You've been shot." He came closer to me. He continued forward until he was standing behind me, looking at my ribcage that was now completely covered in blood again.
"You're observant." I scoffed at him. Way to state the obvious pal. I looked around, not paying anymore attention to the vampire who could kill me, but at this point I'd probably die first. I had no idea where I was. Nor where I came from even. I couldn't smell my path. I felt so confused. So empty.
"You're the first werewolf I've seen in over 100 years. Not to mention a female." He ripped off his shirt and ripped and piece of to tie around my body to attempt to stop the bleeding.
"Don't bother." I tried to push away his hand from me. "I'm past the point of saving. I will be the last werewolf ever now." I sighed and flopped onto the ground, admitting defeat. What was the point anymore. I was perfectly fine until Riley had to go and active my mate and ruin my life forever. He isn't even looking for me. And now I'm stuck here with a strange vampire who might as well murder me, since i'm already a dead wolf.
"I would love to show you to my father. He hasn't seen a werewolf in years. We used to keep them as pets!" He sounded so excited, calling me a pet once again. Suddenly he lifted me up and began to run, I could even see he ran so fast, blood dripping from the shirt he tied around me. I felt faint again and fainted.
When I finally woke up, once again. I realize I was on the ground, outside, and the worst part, I was chained like a dog. A large spiked collar that was solid chain link around my throat and was latched to the side of a large house that I've never seen before. I was naked still, but what I did notice it was massive bundle of stitches on my ribcage. I looked ugly, my whole left side was a massive bruise, black and blue. "You're awake wolfy." I heard from the side of the large house. I turned to see that blonde vampire.
I stood up, still naked but not longer caring. "What's the meaning of this?" I pulled at the chain. I am not their pet. Nor do I deserve to be chained.
"I had to make sure you didn't run away. You should be grateful, I saved your life." He pointed to my stitches.
"Whether or not you saved me, even though I didn't ask you to, I am not your pet!" I yelled at him.
"What's going on over here?!" A very heavy voice came from the side where he came from. A voice and smell I've never encountered before again. He was a very tall, large, and older man. Looked angry and grey but was definitely, without a doubt, dead. I narrowed my eyes at him. I could visibly see multiple weapons on his body.
"I found a werewolf. First in 100 years Father." The blonde guy bowed to the older man. I was very confused. What was going on? Why was I here?
"I don't want to see her skinny human body, I want to see the animal." He glared at me, pulled out a long whip type weapon. "Change wolf." I glared at him and bared my canines.
"Never." I growled at him. After my growl, he smiled and began hitting me with the whip. It hurt and I screamed in pain. "I refuse to change!" I yelled as he continued to whip me, slashing my body, causing it to bleed more. I fell to the ground in pain, screaming as he moved closer and began hitting me harder and harder. Suddenly he reached into his pocket and pulled out a knife.
"You will change!" He yelled into my face and sliced into the stitches that had sealed my bullet wound. Blood pooled from the wound and I screamed louder than ever before, tears swelling my eyes. But then.. I heard my name...
"ANNABELLE!"
