Chapter 2
I walked what felt like days, but what only an hour honestly. Unfortunately I was taken to a bloodbath as well. The one guy holding the rope walked me into a quiet road where a car was driving. They stopped their car when they saw me. As a werewolf, we are much, much larger than regular wolves. Though we don’t get alone with wolves much. But as a female werewolf I’m not that big, and not that old compared too many before me. Except I’m the only werewolf I’ve seen for 100 years… which upsets me.
The family stepped out of their car when he stood directly infront of their car and didn’t move when they honked… I was scared. I knew what he was going to do. I could kill humans if I want to, but I’m not like that. “Hey buddy, get out of the way. And move your huge… oh my god. Is that a wolf?!” The man looked panicked and his wife was terrified clearly… I could smell her fear. And so could he.
“Indeed, yes this is a wolf. My new pet. And it’s a little bit hungry you see…” His deep voice echoed in my large ears. This wasn’t going to end well. Suddenly the other 3 guys came in like a flash of lightning and attached themselves to these people’s necks. Both husband and wife screamed and struggled but were quickly silenced by their own deaths. I wanted to look away. This didn’t make me hungry, it made me sick. Watching these bloodsuckers kill innocent people. The man holding the rope didn’t feed… which surprised me.
“Aren’t you going to eat Riley?” The one whom I bit spoke with blood dripping down his face.
“No. I’m watching my pet, can’t you see?” He grabbed my muzzle and chuckled. “Alright, enough feeding, Dean… Let’s go.” He pulled me towards the dead corpses. Their blood had been completely drained of their bodies. Disgusting. He pushed past them and got into the front seat of their Toyota SUV and held my rope out the window. The rest of the men got into the vehicle too. I growled at him. “What? You won’t fit. You’re running alongside mutt.” I narrowed my eyes, finally getting a good look at his face. High cheek bones, nice jaw line. Piercing red eyes, with dusty brown soft looking hair. Perfect pale lips. I moaned loudly. This couldn’t be happening. I was not only being treated like a pet but now being pulled like a horse. Riley revved the engine and slowly drove as I trotted alongside his door. He quickly picked up the pace and I was forced into a very fast run. I am capable of running way faster than this pace but I don’t like to do it while being forced. I snorted as I wanted to show off. I began running faster than the car was going, causing his arm to be pulled out the window further. “Ha! Impressive!” He sped up to keep up with me. With a sudden turn of the wheel that I didn’t expect, I was jolted and dragged, realizing his strength to hold me is incredible. I hit a large rock and yelped when it ripped into my flesh, still being dragged. Riley slammed on the breaks and quickly jumped out of the vehicle. I hid my face when I thought he was going to kill me. He rolled me on my side unexpectedly and grabbed my leg to look at the wound. A huge open gash which was bleeding a lot was left on my left thigh. I haven’t been injured in 100 years! Closest I’ve come was a bullet that barely missed me. He pulled off his shirt revealing his incredible toned and pale skin. What I didn’t expect was the huge scars, like claw marks and bullet hole scars all over his body. He tied his shirt around my leg tightly and lifted my body off the ground. Popping the large trunk open he laid me somewhat sticking out of the trunk and jumped in pulling my leg onto his lap.
“What the hell are you doing man? That’s still a fucking wolf!” Dean yelled from the passenger seat.
“Just get in the front and drive to the palace moron. This may be a wolf, but I’ve claimed it as my pet, remember?” He turned and gave him the nastiest look ever. “This wolf is damn lucky that she’s a girl.” I wonder how he knew I was a girl… Not many people can determine that from a werewolf.
