Axel's POV:
Jess told me that she wanted Mr. Ivor to make her a potion to clear her scar away, so I
rushed to his classroom. I burst in the doors, only to have sixty pairs of eyes staring at me.
"Uh, Hi. Mr. Ivor?" I asked, my face turning red. "What do you want you green poptart?"
He asked me. Green Poptart? What the heck Mr. Ivor?! I thought. "Oh, um Jess and Lukas
are in the Nurse's Office, so... I was wondering if, y'know, you could make some sort of
potion to get rid of their scars," I told him, my face stipple red from embarrassment.
"So a potion of healing, huh?" He said, "last time Lukas didn't do so well with a potion
of healing." What happened before that made Mr. Ivor so upset about Lukas. I decided to
brush this question off. "Please, Jess and Lukas really need it!" I begged him. He nodded
and walked away. When he returned, he had a bottle filled with red liquid. "Thanks," I
told him, before leaving the room.
Lukas's POV:
I woke up again and saw Jess lying awake on her back. "Hi," I told her. She looked over
and gave a small smile. "Hello," She replied, "how are you holding up?"
"I'm alright. How are you doing?" I asked, "I'm fine," She responded. "I'm just wondering
why my brother would do such a thing." I looked over into her emerald green eyes and
told her the truth. "It's my fault. He was aiming that ball at me. If I hadn't moved out of
the way, you wouldn't be here," I said, giving a deep sigh. She looked back at me and said,
"none of this is your fault." I was about to reply, when Axel walked in with a potion.
"One potion of healing," He said. "Thanks Axe," Jess said looking over at me, "but Lukas
can have it, I don't need it." I felt myself turning red. She would sacrifice a potion for me? I
thought to myself. Wow... "No, Jess, you take it," I told her, "you need it more than me."
"Um, I'll let you two settle this..." Axel said, leaving the room. She playfully rolled her eyes
and laughed. "Alright," She said, "only if we can share." I gave a small laugh at this and
said, "Fine, now I owe you for the fourth time now, don't I?" She rolled her eyes again and
chuckled. I saw her put some of the potion on her hand and rub it onto her wound,
causing it to disappear immediately. She tossed it over, and I did the same thing that she
did, rubbing it on my hands first, then on the back of my head. I felt relief wash over me
and I smiled at Jess. She smiled back and told me, "Let's go to band."
Petra's POV:
I walked to band thinking that I'm such an idiot. Why did I kiss him?! I thought. I looked
back through the window, and saw him standing there, shocked. He ran out of the gym
and caught up with me. "Um, thanks." He said, blushing. I smiled at him and told him,
"no problem." We continued walking for a couple of seconds, when he decided to break
the silence. "Um, so I-I-I was w-wondering," He told me, "if m-maybe you'd l-l-like to be my
g-girlfriend?" I smiled at him and pratically screamed, "Yes!" He blushed, and I gave a
small laugh. The entire walk to band, we held hands.
Jess's POV:
Lukas and I walked to band together. "So, what instrument do you play?" I asked him.
"Oh, um... flute." He said, his cheeks turning red. I laughed and told him, "I do too."
We walked three more minutes before arriving at band. I hoped that Mr. Magnus
wouldn't be a very strict teacher, but I was wrong. "Where have you two cupcakes been?"
He asked us, pratically yelling. Cupcakes? Why am I a cupcake? I turned red and told him,
"We were, um, in the Nurse's Office." He glared at us and pointed to our seats, telling us to
sit down. I sat down in the available seat next to one of Lukas's friends. She smirked as Isat down. "Hi I'm Maya," She told me. "Jess," I replied, shaking her hand. She kept glaring
back at Lukas and smirking for whatever reason. "ALRIGHT YOU WORTHLESS PIECES OF
TRASH! I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO TEACH YOU PATHETIC LITTLE CUPCAKES, SO PLEASE
SHUT UP!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. Everyone shut up immediately and stared at
him with wide eyes. "EVERYONE PLAY YOUR FIRST NOTE!" He screamed at us. Everyone
Tried playing, but the clarinets squeaked, the trumpets played too low, the percussion
didn't even have to play, the flutes squealed, the saxophones screeched, and the
trombones just gave up. "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?! YOU CALL THAT MUSIC?!" He
Shouted at us, "I AM OUT OF HERE YOU PATHETIC SPRINKLED CUPCAKES!" And with
that said, he walked out. I decided that I should walk over to my brother and talk to him.
As I approached, he turned to me. "I'm sorry Jess, I really am. First you, now Lukas-"
I cut him off, "It's ok Jesse, I know that you didn't know that there was a knife in it, and
You couldn't have helped with what happened to Lukas." He gave me a hug, and I
returned it. "Let's go home," I told him, "you and I have to get to the mall!"
