Jess's POV:
I arrived at school about an hour earlier than I usually do, giving me enough time to seek
out each person on the list. I stood by my locker and waited patiently for someone to walk
in. After a few minutes, I heard the front door slam shut and I peered around the cornerto see who had entered the building. Somehow, I was lucky and it was Cassandra,
meaning that the two of us could talk alone without being seen or heard by anyone else.
"Hey, Cassie! Come here for a sec!" I called to her. She looked around until she saw where
I was. She dropped her bag on the ground and ran over to me. "What's up?" She asked
casually, crossing her arms. "I need a favor..." I started, "you see, I need you to... help
Holly." She raised an eyebrow at me. "And?" She asked. "Well, I kind of need you to help
Holly... help Gil..." I admitted, trying to look desperate. It didn't look like she bought it.
"What do you need done?" Cassandra inquired. "Um, well..." I said, "you need to convince
Holly to tell Gil to stay in the ocelots." She shook her head. "No way! Gil got gum in my
hair the first day I was here! He deserves to get kicked out of the ocelots," She told me,
grabbing her bag. "But I-" I started before she walked off. I took out my notepad and
crossed out Cassandra on the list. "Four more to go..."
Lukas's POV:
I woke up and texted Jess, asking her how her mission was going.
Hey Jess, how's it going with your plan? Did anyone say yes?
She took a while to respond, but replied with;
Not really... I asked Cassandra and she said no. :(
Poor Jess... I feel bad that she's doing this alone right now...
Hold on, I'll be there soon.
I turned my phone off and went to change out of my pajamas into something more
suitable for school.
I grabbed my bag and rushed out the door, running towards the school to help Jess out.
Jess's POV:
Oh thank God that Lukas is coming to help me ask the rest of the girls.
I looked up from my phone and saw Jen standing by her locker.
Dang, I'm lucky at finding these people, aren't I?
"Hey Jess!" Jen called, waving me over, "question: Which pink looks better...this one or
this one?" She held up two shirts that were two different shades of pink. "That one," I
said, pointing to a random shirt, "Hey listen, can you help me with something?" I looked
at her, waiting for a response. "Sure, what do you need?" She inquired, putting the shirts
down. "Um, well, you see... Gil and Maya got into a fight a while back, and Gil is thinking
of leaving the ocelots... I need you to convince Holly to convince him to stay," I blurted
out. Wow... that must be a lot to process, I thought to myself. "Um, well, you see..." She
started, "I mean, I'd love to help, but I don't really like getting involved in drama. I try to
be the nice one that everyone likes, not the one that someone is mad at." I nodded sadly.
"I understand,"I mumbled, walking away. I walked to the door and saw students starting
to flood in. Oh god... has it been an hour already? I suppose time flies when you have to sit
and wait for people... I noticed blonde hair peeking over the crowd, and I managed to
make my way over there. He was talking to a girl in a creeper hoodie with orange hair.
Naty. I waited until they were done talking, and he sadly shook his head, meaning that
she had declined as well. There were two students left now. Alexandra and Cece.
"You find Alexandra, I'll find Cece," I told him, "the others I've talked to." He nodded and
walked off in the other direction. "Please..." I muttered to myself, "we need this."
Lukas's POV:
I went off into the hallway, in search of Alexandra. The only problem was that I didn't
exactly know what she looked like... "Alexandra!" I called out stupidly. I mentally
facepalmed. There's no way that she'll answer to someone she doesn't know, but I still
kept calling her name, until I finally heard a response. "What?" I heard a voice ask from
behind me. I turned around and noticed her standing behind me... or what I thought was
her. "Um, are you Alexandra?" I asked. "Well what do you think? I answered to the name,
didn't I?" She snapped. I took a step back. "Oh, um... yeah... listen I need a favor..." I
stuttered. "Listen pal, I don't even know you. I'm sorry, but whatever it is, I can't help."
She said, walking back to her group of friends. If we can't convince Cece, we're screwed!
I thought to myself, letting out a heavy sigh.
Jess's POV:
"Cece!" I yelled from across the hall. She looked at me and ran over. "What's up?" She
asked. "Um, well... I need help convincing Holly to convince Gil to stay in the Ocelots," I
explained, getting straight to the point. She hesitated before saying something... "I'll do it."
She said, a determined look on her face, "I'll help."
