And here the day finally comes, Seirin vs Kaijo practice game.
The coach stood up and announced a few things to the team,
"Alright, everyone. Today's the day that all of you will prove your ultimate skills you improved days ago, I expect great teamwork from all of you."
You, on the other side, were sitting with Karin on the bleachers. You were off-duty, meaning that it's not you who will lecture those boys today. Thank God Takeuchi-sensei came. And turns out his cat wasn't pregnant at all, in fact, it was just a fat male cat. Shame.
Karin was really eager to watch the match, it was her first match she ever watched. Although today was just a practice match, it didn't change her excitement.
"(f/n)! This is so cool! I can't believe you let me to watch this!"
"Calm down, Karin-chan. You haven't seen the game yet," you let out a small chuckle.
Suddenly, the guy you didn't want to meet came to you. Both of you weren't expecting him.
"Hey, what is Kise-kun doing here? He's supposed to be down there, right?" Karin asked.
"Who knows.."
Being confused as hell, you asked him the most suitable question in your mind.
"Hey, aren't you supposed to get ready down ther-"
He didn't care of what you're gonna say, "(f/n), Kuroko-cchi is here." He said, cutting you off.
Still as rude as ever.
"Yeah, I know."
"I'll be the one to beat his techniques." He smiled lightly while leaving you both.
"You better be." you scoffed.
Meanwhile Karin was there hearing the conversation that she never thought would happen.
"Whoa, whoa.. you're being nice to him now?" she teased.
"Well, yes. We decided to start over our relationship."
"Ah, so you two are a thing now, eh?" she asked while raising her eyebrows.
"No, we're not. We just agreed to be friends again, and make that as normal friends. We aren't getting nicer to each other, we are just merely acquaintances." you doubted.
"Oh, quit it. I know you want it to be that way."
"S-shut up."

The match started with a massive surprise, Kuroko's skills have improved greatly. But, there's just this one guy that caught your eyes.
He continuously made some dunks, while your team barely scored points. It wasn't long before you noticed the score gap, it wasn't far, but it wasn't close either. You just never seen your team this troubled before.
"What just happened?" You asked yourself.
"That red-haired guy, he didn't just--" you muttered.
"Kagami! Good job!" another guy, who appeared to be the captain of Seirin yelled out loud.
That was it, you knew that your team couldn't win because of that guy. He is just like the person you knew a long time ago.
"Aomine-kun?"

Time passed and your hunch was right. Kaijo lost. Although the gap wasn't too far, their loss still broke their heart.
