Baekhee's POV
"Look, I think we should break up. I mean, I just don't feel any sparks anymore. You know? There's just..nothing left." Kibum frowned."Wait, you're kidding right? This is a prank?" My voice decided to get shaky.
"No, I found someone new for me." He tells me honestly, hoping I wouldn't cry.
"It-it's okay. As long as you're happy right?" I playfull hit his arm, faking my chuckle.
It is not okay with me. I was planning on reminding him that I was moving to Japan for a scholarship, but now that plan has ran downhill. I guess it's better to forget him from now, huh?
His phone went off signaling a new message. "Sorry, I have to go now, we're still friends, aight?" He left, dissappearing into the horizon.
"Bye..." I whispered, tears spilling. I wiped them away with the back of my palm as quick as possible. I winced, feeling my heart ache.
I walk back to my now empty apartment, pick up my luggage, and hail a taxi. I told the driver to head to the airport. I'm going to Japan to study with my friends there.
Key's POV
"Well, she handled it strongly." I told my bandmates once I got to the dorms."At least that's a relief right?" Jonghyun asked.
"Hmm. I forgot what, but something important was today. What was it? It was something about Japan and Baekhee and something about a scholarship." Onew continued on and on.
"Umm, that our concert was in Tokyo, Japan next month?" Taemin guessed.
Shit.
Baekhee's POV
Today was supposed to be the best birthday ever but now, noo someone had to go and shatter it.I checked in the font and walked to Gate CI 701 and sat on one of those waiting seats. While waiting for my flight, I play some music on my iPhone. Every time I hear Key's voice, which is most of the time, I start to wonder where and what he's doing. You know what? I don't even want to know. We're not together anymore, remember? It's time to move on, too. Just like him.
Once 'Quasimodo' by SHINee started, I start to tear up. But thank goodness, the lady at the front desk called my airline flight. I stand up, tugging on my luggage with me.
"Jeon Baekhee!"
Kim Kibum, well, Key now. I turn towards the door and spot a panting Key. He must have ran all the way here, seeing that sweat covered his face and his hair stuck to his forehead. He runs towards me and envelopes me into a warm embrace. Oh how I already miss being in his arms. Everyone seems to take notice of the both of us and gives us all warm stares, going all "awe" at us.
"I'm so sorry, Baekhee." He mumbles in my hair.
He missed me already?
"D-did you miss me?" I asked, muffled in his arms.
"I'm sorry for breaking your heart. It was the company. They threatened me that if I didn't break up with you, I'd lose you and my career. I could have lost my job, but I couldn't when you were in it." His eyes were already glassy once he was finished confessing everything.
"Kibum oppa?" A feminine voice called out.
Both Kibum and I looked back to see who it was. Our eyes widen as we was who it was,
Krystal.
"Krystal, please don't tell. I'm begging you." Kibum's voice shook as a few tears fell down his cheek.
"If you don't want me to tell, then I won't." Krystal said sternly. "But I'd say goodbye if I were you. Who knows if one of our agents are here. They can report anything." She gave a slight nod as if to tell him to hurry up or we'll get caught.
Kibum seems to sense it as he lets go. "Okay..."
As we parted I saw Krystal at the corner of my eye, she had a tear.
And why is she crying..?
I walked up to the lady at the desk and gave her my ticket, which she let me on right away.
As soon as I was in my seat on the plane, I looked away to stare in space. Only to see someone staring straight at me throught the glass wall of the airport.
Kim Kibum.
He was also crying as Krystal stood by him patting him on the back. It's strange to see Krystal tear up too.
I bit my lip to keep myself from crying, gave a smile, and waved goodbye to them as the plane started to move.
Key's POV
I started to quietly sob as I watched her figure disappear into the plane. I couldn't see her after she got on now...
Krystal came up to me and patted me on the back for comfort.
"I can't believe S.M. is going to destroy such a good couple you guys are." She told me in a cracked voice.
She was upset too?
As I turned to look at her, tears were already at the brim of her eyes.
I turned back to watch as the plane started to move out of my sight, I didn't move until I was sure she was safely in the sky.
As Krystal and I walked back to my dorm, my bandmates greeted me with a sorrowful hug. Krystal had told them what happened when we were in the taxi going to my dorm.
But then I cheered up and gave out a small chuckle.
Everyone looked at me and raised an eyebrow.
I have time to get her back in a month. One month to prepare and plan out the best reunion day for the both of us. Baekhee and I.
"One month." I whispered and I left to think in my room.
