Chaerin's POV

It was near midnight during spring. The rain fell hard as it made contact with my skin, making me cold. I had just experienced my first break up. My heart is shattered, broken.

The heavy downpour hid my tears as they continued to run down my cheeks. I ran, heading towards Zhoumi's place. He was my only friend, the only one I trusted. The only one who even cares about me.

By the time I reached Zhoumi's house, I was already panting heavily.

Walking up the steps, I rang the doorbell constantly.

Zhoumi's POV

I was just about to fall asleep from the heavy rain downpour, when some idiot decided to constantly ring the doorbell. Are they trying to deafen me?

I lifted the covers and pulled it over my head, trying to make the constant ringing disappear. I sighed, knowing the person at the door just won't give up until they have that stupid piece of wood open. Glaring at mid air, I pulled down the covers and sat up. Looking towards my bedroom door, I groaned.

Trudging over to the door, the automatic sensors lights on my walls turned on when it sensed me.

With a pissed off face, I hastily open the door revealing not stupid kids or the mailman, but my best friend.

Chaerin.

She must have ran all the way from somewhere considering the way she panted heavily. Yet she was sobbing and entirely soaked from head to toe from the heavy downpour.

She fell against my chest as I stood still in my spot. Her cries muffled into my chest. Was it a break up with her boyfriend?

Once I locked my door, my arms wrapped around her fragile and shaking cold body.

I led her to my living room and set her down on my couch.

My heart clenched as I realized that the most precious girl I have always adored was here crying in my arms about somebody else. Why can't I take all the pain your feeling and make you smile? Why can't I be the one you love? I would do anything, anything to make you smile again. That beautiful smile that makes my day anytime. Why can't you see that the person that loved you since forever is right here? Right in front of you, spreading his arms open wide so that you can run into them with joy? Why can't it be me?

I was about to get up to retrieve her a blanket when she pulled me back down.

"Don't leave." Chaerin whimpered as soon as her cries ceased to small hiccups here and there.

I wrapped her into my arms whispering, "I'm not going anywhere. I love you, and I can't and won't let you go. I can't loose you, not again."
