Long ago, Vampires had enslaved the werewolf species. Until the wolves rose up. They declared war upon the vampires. This war was known as the 'Great Dividing War'.
Thousands of lives were lost in what was the biggest war between the species. It was only when the vampire council realised they were loosing and facing enslavement themselves, they signed a peace treaty.
They agreed to free the werewolves with the condition to let the vampires rebuild their numbers. The treaty remains to this day, but tension still remains between the two species. There are still vampires who believe they should return to the old ways. They believe the werewolves are savages and were made to serve the vampire species. They plan to start an uprising of vampires against werewolves and take back control.
