a few things before i officially start,

1. everyone in this story is 17 and a senior in high school unless said otherwise. if everyone was their real ages, sophie the 11 y/o would be hanging with college people and im not about that lionmaker shit

2. ive only had the story up for a day and its been added to at least five reading lists damn

"hey guys!" calvin said, walking up to his regular lunch table.

"hey," sophia peered down at calvin's hands, noticing little black envelopes, "what are those?"

calvin quickly circled his hands, pointing to his shoes, "these are my crocs."

"kill yourself," roman glared at calvin before looking back at his plate of chicken and green beans

calvin rolled his eyes, "anyways, i cordially invite all of you to my halloween party this friday night."

austin raised his eyebrow, "you mean tonight?"

"well, yeah. but still! put on a costume and come! also, tell your friends, it'll be pretty lame if, like, three people were there."

calvin looked around the table. sophia was trying to finish her english homework, roman and austin were continuing on eating their revolting school food, and baman ((noone really knew his real name, everyone, including the teachers, just called him baman)) had an earbud plugged into his ear, listening to god knows what.

as he sat down, sophia snatched the envelopes out of his hand, passing one to everyone at the table.

on the invitations was just some basic information; the address, time, things along those lines.

they all agreed that they would be able to come and that they'd invite their friends. austin was trying to convince everyone that they should wear a group costume, and after some convincing, they all obliged. how they were going to diy an outfit in the few hours after school, calvin didn't know, but he went along with the whole idea.

calvin didn't know that telling his friends to invite their friends was a bad idea, but he would find out soon enough. it was only a matter of time before he discovered that the whole idea was the worst mistake of his life.
