"You're pretty crazy about that Connor boy aren't you?" grandma said, "me? no." i lied. "listen, i was once a girl your age too. i know a look like that from a mile away." "ok, maybe just a little. but we aren't that serious, soo." "give it time, honey. he'd be crazy not to stay with you." i knew i liked my grandma for some reason, shes so reassuring. Even though i haven't seen her in years we talked to eachother like i'd been here everyday of my life. "when are you going to see him again?" she asked "I'm not sure, i just left from seeing him, i dont want to seem too desperate, grandma." "If he likes you, you wont seem desperate." hm, i guess she had a point there, but i still dont want to chance it.

I laid back on my bed, thinking, mostly of connor.. and of other things, suchs as: my friends, i haven't spoken a word to them since i've been out here. Do they miss me? Do they try and contact me? sometimes i wonder if me being gone is a vacation for them, a sort of "get away" from me. I tried not to let that get to me, i'll just take a run to that cafe and use the wifi there to talk to them tomorrow. I also thought about how connor could like me, i mean, i don't think i'm the prettiest thing he's ever seen, my personality could be better, i just don't get it. All night i wondered about those things, wondering if connor was thinking about me too.

**Next day

I got up pretty early for my run and got to the cafe afterwards around 9 o' clock, since this town didn't have any cell connection i just got on my laptop and DMed my friends: Tiffany and Faith.

"hey, sorry i haven't talked to you until now, this place has the worst connection ever. i'm sitting in a small cafe, sucking up all of their wifi to talk to you lol. I was just catching up, seeing how your break was going. well, i'll go now. talk to me when you can"

I sent that to the both of them, i didn't expect a fast reply because i figured they weren't awake yet, it is summer for crying out loud, but here i am, getting up at 7:30 in the mornings to run. I drank my tea and started to head back to the house, maybe try and take a nap, i rounded the corner and saw Connor, wow this happens a lot, he was buying some fruit from a local vender. "Hey connor!" i said from down the sidewalk. "Oh hey!, good morning. did you go running?" he asked, assuming, i guess, from my outfit. "yeah, there wasn't much else to do." "well running is good, i run.." there was an awkward pause, "uh, im gonna go, but i guess i'll see you later?" i said. "No, don't go, walk around with me." he offered, "well, alright."

"so, i have a question." i said. "yes?" "this youtube thing, why do you do it?" "well, i got bored one day and decided to try it out, i dont know, i just really like it. I can interact with thousands of people through a video. I can entertain, that's what i like doing; entertaining." he answered. "ohh, well thats nice, are you like, a big deal?" "i mean, i don't want to sound cocky or big-headed or anything, but yeah i kind of am." he said. "Thats really cool." "yeah it is, you should be in one of my videos sometime. we could talk about childhood memories or something." "that sounds great actually."

we walked and talked some more and ended up at my house, "wow, i didn't realize we'd gotten here so fast." i said, "well, thanks for the walk, i'm going to go inside and enjoy a nap, i guess i'll see you around, con-da-bon." i said, smiling. "yeah i- wait, did you just call me con-da-bon?" "yeah, i did. wow. it's been years since i've said that." "ha, it's been years since i've HEARD that, wow." "well, anyways, later? tomorrow? i'll see you then." i said, hugging him. "alright, later." he smiled. I walked away with that geeky little smile on my face, i turned around and looked at him, he did too. I looked up to the sky as if i were looking for god, "Thank you."
