Chapter 8.

I opened the door and Connor was standing there looking cuter than ever. He had his hair gelled up and he was wearing a cute button up shirt with some khaki jeans along with some black vans. "hi Connor." "hey, you look gorgeous." he said, smiling. I blushed, "Thanks, you look great. Here, come in. Connor, this is my friend Abbey. Abbey, this is-" "Connor Franta." she interrupted, "i know who you are, i watch your videos all the time!" her fangirl was starting to show a bit. "You do?" he asked, "wow that's awesome! well, thanks for the support, Abbey." "alright well now that ya'll are introduced i guess it's time Connor and I leave now, I'll see you later, Abbey." "Alright see ya Destiny... and uh bye Connor." she smiled. "Bye Abbey, it was great meeting you!" he replied.

"yeah i'm sorry about her, she's never met someone she watches on YouTube before." I said as we walked to my grandma's car, she let me borrow it because i would've felt bad to have Connor drive me around when i asked him to go on the date, "oh no it's fine, i'm used to fans. I kinda like the fact that i can make someones whole day by getting a picture with them or by just re-tweeting them or something. It's amazing, really." i loved how passionate he was about YouTube and his fans, i can tell they're really special to him, it's pretty cute, actually. 

Being the gentleman he was, Connor opened the car door for me, "well thank you." we got in the car and headed down the road, "so where exactly are we going?" he said, "you'll find out." The drive wasn't too long but the roads slowly started to turn into a one way gravel road. I started grinning, i know he knows where we're at. "wait a second.. are we going to the waterfall?" he asked, excitedly. "nailed it." i replied, "wow i haven't been here since.." "since we were little kids. yeah, its been forever, but i thought this would be the perfect place to take you. The memories, nature, experiences. it just seemed right." "well props to you because this is perfect." he said, smiling. I parked the car and we headed to the waterfall trail. "oh wow, i forgot how steep this got." i said, "don't worry, if you fall i'll be sure to take a picture of it.. i mean help you up" he laughed, "hey if i go down you're going down with me." i said, and grabbed his hand.

At one point we had to walk up-stream to reach the waterfall, and along the way we found a cool looking cave, "wow, this is amazing" Connor said, "yeah, it's freaking huge." i added. "well, let's explore it." Connor said. "um, explore? the cave? you see there are these things called bugs, and also snakes are a thing too." "oh hush, come on. Unless you're too chicken." he mocked. "I am no chicken!" i took a deep breath in and decided to give in and go exploring in this sketchy cave with Connor. "You'll be fine, i'll protect you." he smiled. Him saying that gave me goosebumps and i'm sure my face was beet red, luckily there wasn't bright lighting in the cave so he couldn't see it, thank God. 

We went deep into the cave and found an opening with sunlight shining through. as we got closer we could see it was some sort of grotto. "Wow this is beautiful" i said. It looked like a small swimming hole and had mini waterfalls all around it with the sun shining just right into it. "Yeah you are." he said smiling. Now he could see me blushing. "well lets get in!" he said, and started taking off his shirt. I didn't think twice about this because 1. shirtless Connor, 2. this place was too beautiful and it would be sad to pass up a moment like this. The water wasn't too cold but it was cold enough to give me goosebumps every now and then. "Thanks for bringing me here" "No problem, Connor. I just thought i'd return the favor since you took me to the movies." "well this has been pretty great so far. but you know what might make it better?" he asked, "what?" "that!" he said pointing behind me, "what? i don't know what you're see-" i  turned my head back around and was stopped by Connor's lips. I didn't try pulling away, neither did he. "um, how about we get to that waterfall?" he said after our kiss. 

We left the cave and continued to walk up the stream, as we got closer we could start to hear the waterfall, so we sped up. "hey Destiny, be careful up here the rocks are super slippery." "yeah Connor i know." and right after i said that my butt hit the ground, i started laughing, mostly because it was pretty funny, but also to hide the pain. "Oh my gosh are you alright?" he asked, When he realized i was laughing and okay he started to laugh too. "so are you going to make it your mission to get hurt somehow every time we hang out or something? im sensing a pattern." he laughed as he helped me up. "Highlight of the day" i said.

We turned a corner and there was the waterfall, it was just as pretty as i had remembered. Connor intertwined his fingers with mine and we walked closer to it and sat down on a big rock so we could chill for a while. We sat sitting face to face on this rock but our heads were turned to check out the waterfall and everyone jumping from it, but out of the side of my eye i could see that Connor wasn't looking at the people, he was looking at me. He reached to his side and grabbed something, i didn't want to make it be known that i saw him looking at me so i just acted like i hadn't. As i was looking out i could hear the shutter of a camera. "Connor did you just take a picture of me? ew i look ratchet right now, gross haha" "No you don't."

We stayed for a few hours at the waterfall; we swam, talked, layed out but then we started getting tired and decided it was time to leave. I parked in front of his house, "thanks for coming with me today." i said, smiling. "You're welcome, i had a great day. The best day i've had in a while." he leaned over and kissed me, "Goodnight, Destiny" "Goodnight,Connor."
