The Dream

Hey, Skylar didn't mess up for once! *Claps all around*

"Sky, we're on in 10 minutes!" I keep hearing Ash knock on the bathroom stall door while I sit on the toilet, trying not to vomit.

"I don't think... I don't think I can..." I bend over, terrified. Yes, we've practiced this song for weeks, but it wasn't enough time.

"Skylar... please..." I hear Ash sound pleading, and squeeze my eyes shut. I can't just go out there and play! "Sky, we need to try. Please, come out."

I let out a groan, steeling my nerves. Okay Skylar, it's time to woman up and go play. I stand, shaking a bit, and open the door.

Ash stands a bit aways, wearing a leather jacket over her teal tank top, black ripped jeans, and her long black hair is for once not in a ponytail. Her hair hangs around her face, neatly brushed and clipped off to the sides. All in all, she looks dark and amazing. For once, she's even wearing makeup! Just some basic eyeliner and foundation, but she... she looks hot, to be honest.

I look down at my clothes, my dark blue jeans and white t-shirt covered by a blue and black flannel. I look up into a mirror, where my red hair is curled and hangs down slightly past my shoulders. My bright green eyes shine with the white glittering eyeshadow and small amount of blush. I don't look nearly as good as Ash, but it'll work.

"Let's go!" She grabs my wrist and drags me out of the bathroom and to the backstage. I grab my keyboard and stand in preparation, and we see our add-on band member Ty all ready to go as well. Ty is wearing something similar to me, but her flannel is sleeveless and buttoned up all the way, showing off her thin but well-built arms. She wears black jeans and a few silver bracelets around her right wrist.

"Now, introducing the next act, we have Ty, Skylar, and Ashbel singing an original song they call Welcome To The Club!" The MC welcomes us onto the stage, and my stomach drops once more. (A/N Ash: Song is actually by Manian, no copyright intended)

My friends walk on stage, Ash carrying her guitar and Ty twirling drumsticks between her fingers. I follow behind, standing at the keyboard I know so well.

Ty clicks her sticks a few times, and we start. Ash grins, walking up to the mic and singing confidently.

"It's alright

Ready for the night

Of your life"

Ash's arm goes up toward the ceiling.

"Stars will shine so bright"

Her arm lowers to the crowd

"They say

We're dancing the stress away"

She spins just before Ty and I sing backup.

"(Hey hey)"

We go quiet vocally, but our fingers and hands come alive, bringing the instruments in front of us alive

"This beat

Is underneath your feet"

Ash does a shuffle with her feet, still playing her guitar and singing

"Right now

Together we will meet

This place

Will blow your mind away

(Hey hey)"

Ty joins in for the chorus, and I finally relax into the song, smiling a little bit.

"Welcome to the club now

Gonna pump it up now

This is an emergency

Music is my galaxy
