Anna's Past

*ANGELA POV*

 

Anna was Brandon's younger sister. We used to hang-out all the time, even though there was a big age difference between us. I'm just glad that she is safe!

"Please tell me everything that happened. Everything since the invasion."

*ANNA POV*

.:FLASHBACK:.

"Mama!" I yelled as the demons sliced her throat in front of me. The evil man was wearing a hood so I have no idea who it was. He was a demon that's for sure. He grabbed me by the arm and pulled me to his chest. I kicked him hard causing him to fall backwards and his hood also slipeed off, revealing the masked killer of my family. It was… my brother?

"B-Brandon?" I stuttered. He smiled and opened his arms for me to hug him, but I wasn't falling for his tricks again.

"Y-You k-killed m-mommyy!" I cried.

"I had to" he said. In an instant he was behind me and knocked me out. Before closing my eyes, I saw him change form. He was a shapeshifter! He had transformed into a young woaman with brown hair tied in a bun. He or now a she was wearing a maid's outfit. He/she sprinted towards the royal palace. Princess Angela's home? Was he planning on getting revenge? With that thought in mind I closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up in a dark room. I tried to get up, but my legs were too weak so I fell to the ground. I tried to crawl but soon discovered that I was chained to the wall. Great! Someone walked into the room and unchained me.

"MOVE IT!" the guard yelled as he pushed me on the stage. A blinding light was blurring my vision.

"Little Anna here" the auctioner started. "Loves nature, animals, flowers, you name it. She would enjoy working outdoors. So flowershop owners out there who need workers… she is all yours!"

"30 000 rubies" a male voice yelled.

"60 000".

It kept going higher and higher until I was bought for 170 000 rubies by a fat lady whom's name I don't know. I was supposed to call her mistress and nothing else. I've been working in her little flower shop til now.

*ANGELA POV*

"Brandon is a shapeshifter?" 

"I guess" she answered.

"He transformed into a maid and ran to our home, you say?"

"Exactly!" This is all so confusing! Why would he transform into a mai-. My mind went blank.

"D-do you think that h-he was p-assing f-for one of our m-maids all this time?" What if the whole time he was passing for one of our maids to get information!? A tear ran down my cheek.

"Angela are you okay?" Anna asked.

"Yeah, I just remembered something" I said and tried to give one of my best smiles. Impossible! I would say my old friend is dead. Arlene… I miss her so much.

"How did you end up coming here?" I asked her.

"D-Damon came into the flowershop today, to buy some roses and my mistress started to hit me and I guess he felt bad  because he bought me. Then we drove to this big house, he told me to wait outside so I did. After a few minutes, he came running out. It looks like he was rushing to get out of there. I think it started to rain, because I felt a bit wet on my back, or maybe he was crying…" She looked up at me.

"Anna get some rest, you went through a lot today." I hand her some fresh clothes and she walked to the bathroom. I decided to go say thank you to Damon for what he did. I really appreciate it. I walked out of my room and knocked on his door. I didn't hear a response, so I just opened the door a bit to take a peek in. I saw him sitting on the bed with his head hanging low and he was sobbing. I hesitated but finally gave in and walked inside.

"Damon! Are you okay?" I sat in front of him on the carpet. He shook his head from side to side signaling me that the answer is a no. WHAT AM I DOING!? WHY DO I CARE!?

"S-she w-was ch-cheating o-o-on m-e-e" he sobbed. I felt really bad for him. I just had the urge to hug him. So I did. I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly. He stiffened a bit but then hugged me back.

"Trust me, I know how you feel" I tried to sooth him. He pulled me up on the bed and that night, we slept together in each others arms...
