The Ball

ANGELA POV

The sound of trumpets were heard from behind the closed the doors signaling us that we are going to have our entrance soon. Damian entered first escorted by a girl maybe a year or two years older than me with black hair and red eyes. Some guy in a unifom announced their names and they walked down the staircase. 

"And know… Let's have a warm welcome for the man of the evening… Prince Damon Death escorting ex-princess of the angel's realm, Angela Grace" My breath cought in my throat as the doors slowly opened. Damon gave ,my hand a small queeze reasuring me that everyting is going to be okay. I smiled up at him gratefully as we walked forward towards the staircase. I held on tightly to the railing as Damon made his speech.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am forever gratefull that you have all come together to celebrate my nineteenth birthday. Please, I shall now keep you waiting any longer. Do enjoy yourselves." He then slowly procedded to slowly walk down the stairs and I tred to walk at a staedy rhythme. Left, Right, Left, Right, Left. I gave a sigh of relief when we finally reached the bottom but I was replaced by a new fear remembering that Damon has to dance his first dance… with me… I hope the dance lessons will pay off. The song that I was practising to started. It was "All I Need" by Within Temptation. As the first notes started. Damon rested one of his hands on my back and the other held my hand. My other hand rested on his shoulder. He looked at me deep into my eyes and we started to waltz gracefully.
