Angel's POV

As we walked home Jacob grabbed my hand and swung it back and forth. I was walking slow on purpose to make this moment last longer but my mom called. "Hello?"

"Angel you need to come home right now something happened."

"What!? Are you ok?"

"Yes just please come home."

"Is everything ok angel?"

"Idk I just really need to get home right now." I hope everything is fine. I hope my mom is fine!

Me and Jacob ran to my house as fast as I can. When I got through the door I saw Daniel crying while my mom was hugging him. "What happened??" I asked breathlessly

"Honey Daniel's mom is in the hospital she was in a car accident and Daniel didnt want to go see her yet until you got here so we could all go together." I gasped and started crying Daniel's mom is like family to me. Jacob started hugging me once he realized I was crying. "I'll see you at school Jacob thanks for the amazing date." I said Jacob nodded and gave me one last hug before he left.

"Come on let's go" my mom said as she wiped her tears. I walked up to Daniel and gave him a huge hug.

We were in the waiting room waiting to see his mom. She was in a coma because she hit her head really hard during the accident. I was sitting next to Daniel holding his hand while we waited.

"How was your date?" Daniel asked sadly.

I looked at him for a minute and then replied with a 'good'. He looked at our hands together and sadly smiled and looked back up at me and I also gave him a sad smile.

"Angel."

"Hmm?"

"Your beautiful" he said and I blushed and looked away and said thank you quietly.

"No problem."

After 5 minutes the doctor came out and said we can see her now so I got up with Daniel as our hands were still together.

One look at her and Daniel was crying. I instantly pulled him into a tight hug and rubbed his back while he cried on my shoulder.

After he calmed down a little I pulled two chairs next to her bed while my mom was talking to the doctor. "Thanks for being here angel." Daniel said quietly I almost didn't hear it.

"Why wouldnt I be here?"

He shrugged and turned to look at me.

Daniel's POV

I can't believe my mom is in a coma but I'm glad angel is here with me. It calmed me down knowing that she was here with me.

I couldn't help but stare at her she's so beautiful. I just want to kiss her. I think I might do it. I've waited nine years might as well do it now.

"Angel.." as she turned to look at me I quickly kissed her before I could chicken out. I was the first to pull back and when I looked at her she had a smile on her face but it went away as soon as it came.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"I- I also kissed Jacob."

I was shocked. But all I could say was "Do you regret it?"

"Regret what?" She asked

"Our kiss?"

She was quiet for a moment but then said no. A grin broke out on my face as I kissed her cheek and held her hand again.

"Ok so the doctor said that she'll be fine and that she'll wake up soon but he doesn't know when. So Daniel will be staying with us for a while until she does."

"Where will he sleep we only have two rooms?"

"He's sleeping in your room."
