Harry Styles - was the baby worth it

- on the 14th of October 2018 our child was born - 

Alyse is due today and we're both excited for our child to enter the big world

"Harry.. HARRY!" i hear her shout

"sweetie are you ok?" i shouted back, chasing her voice

"i think my water just broke harry" she said, eyes wide open, startled

"oh my god. ok ok, we've been planning for this. everythings going to be fine."

and from that point i had this feeling in the pit of my stomach that nothing was going to fine. i regret saying it everyday, and i've had to live with that for the rest of my life.

"I gotcha, i gotcha, its ok im right here just breath, we'll be are the hospital soon" i assurde Alyse.

She smiled at me and kissed my cheek "thank you" she said then hoped into the car.

We drove quickly over to the hospital. "this is it babe, we're hacing a baby!" i said excited. She breathed in deaply then turned and nodded at me, but i could see she was in pain.

As we arrived at the hospital i opened the door for her and walked her over to the reception

"hello, um my wife's water has just broken.." i told the lady.

"ah, congraduations, just down the hall and take the second left" she pointed out for us

"thank you!" i shouted, wheeling Alyse down to the room in a wheel-chair.

She was sweating and breathign very heavily. "you right?" i asked

"yes just get me to a god damn bed!"she yelled

i raced her down the hall faster and a tall doctor in all blue scrubs met me half way and helped me to the room.

"hello Mrs Styles, my names Leo, i'm going to be helping you with the birth today" the doctor told her.

I walked in after the two and sat down hext to Alyse who was dealing with the birth quite well

..............4 hours later............

"come on Alyse, just a little bit more. come on sweetie" I ecourgae Alyse while she was pushing the baby out.

She just screamed and then POP! the baby and out "we did it!... you did it babe!" i shouted and kissed her cheek. 

The doctors took the baby ot a small table to clean it up and check that it was healthy

i stood up from my kneeling position and raced over tot he table where our baby was to see.

"congradulations Mr Styles, its a girl" Leo said uncovering his blue mask and smiling. 

"a.. a girl?" i stuttered in amazement. "Alyse! its-"

i was stopped mid-sentence but a rush of doctors. "Alyse?" i shouted

All i could here was a long, beeping sound.

"alyse? alyse speak to me, can you hear me?" Leo asked rushing to her side, followed by 4 other doctors. Then in rushed 2 more.

"Alsye sweetie wake up!" i said. "come on now, shes just resting" i assurmed the doctors.

hey kept trying to push me away but i wouldn't move. "Alyse wake up sweetie- WHAT'S HAPPENING TO HER" i repeated, shouting at the doctors.

"baby, honey, alyse honey are you ok" i cryed, trying to see her, but there were to many doctors in the way,

"Sir, im going to have to ask you to leave the room so we can do our job. thank you, sorry"

"NO! THATS MY WIFE. ALYSE! ALYSE!" i cryed pushing through the doctor. "that is my wife, no!" i muttered inbetween breaths. Then a large doctor grabed me and shuved me out of the room.

And now all i was told to do was wait. So i did. And i waited... and waited. 

I was standing outside for a long time.

I heard footsteps coming towards me, i turn around to see Leo walking down the hall. "i swear to god Leo if i don't get to see my wife right now im going to sue you to the ground you know how long i've been-"

"Harry, Harry please, calm down-"

"don't tell me to calm down! 4 hours ago i was chucked out of that hospital room, i haven't seen my wife or my baby" i argued to Leo

"your daughters fine Harry, she's healthy and resting at the moment, i'll take you to her as soon as you want."

"thank you.. but what... what happened to Alyse" i muttered

"Harry, i don't know how.."

"just tell me leo, is she alright?" i asked him

"Alyse had an anurisum, we... we lost her Harry, i'm so sorry, the strain of the constractions and the pushing must of caused the anurisum. I'm sorry, there was nothing more we could do, we did everthing we could.."

I felt my heart drop. the emotions i felt inside could be described. it was like all the anger and all the frustration mixed with all the saddnes i'd ever felt bottled up inot one feeling.

I dropped to the ground and poured my eyes out. baning my head with my hands.

I was in disbelife, the girl i had grown up loving and caring for was no longer going to share the rest of my life with me

I cried again and again then eventally i just curled up on the floor and thought about how different my life would be without her.

Alyse has been the love of my life for 11 years and the pasr few years of my life have been the best ones, because they were spend with her

my left collar was soaked from where i had been wiping my tears

I regained the enegy a while after and stood up then walked over to Leo who was waiting for me at a chair when i was ready

"take me to by daughter" i whispered.

He just looked at me and showed a small smile then nodded
