*the next day Riley and Farkle come over at 10:30 to babysit hope while Lucas and Maya go to see the doctor, they get there at just before eleven and are called into an examination room a few minutes later, Maya gets settled on the bed, Lucas sits beside her and holds her hand*
Lucas: you good
Maya: yeah, yesterday was just shock, I'm calmer now
Lucas: sure?
Maya: I said I was good okay?!
Lucas: easy tiger, I'm supposed to be the maddog here
Maya: no I'm pretty sure you're Bucky mcboingboing
Lucas: I never questioned your leadership
Maya: okay this fight was ages ago now
Lucas: yeah back to the present
*and at the precise moment the doctor walks in*
Doctor: hello
Maya: hi
Doctor: so Maya and Lucas Friar right?
Lucas: yep
Doctor: so you got yourself a girl then kid
Lucas: I did sir
Doctor: good
Maya: wait do you two know each other?
Lucas: it's a pretty small town, everyone knows everyone and plus this is zay's uncle
Maya: wait seriously?!
Doctor: yep
Maya: wow
Doctor: you still see him?
Lucas: not in a few months, we text a lot, he's considering coming back up here if he can convince his girl to come with him
Doctor: finally moved on from Vanessa did he?
Maya: oh yes, very much
Doctor: anyway so this your first baby?
Lucas: no we've got a little girl at home
Doctor: how old is she then?
Lucas: six months a few days ago
Doctor: okay then, so you know how this goes
Maya: yep
Doctor: let's get going then
*he puts the gel on her stomach and puts the monitor on spreading the cold gel around and getting a picture up on the screen, he looks at it then back at what he's doing*
Doctor: alright id say about two months pregnant, would you like to know the gender?
Lucas: Maya?
Maya: yes please
Doctor: it's a boy
