I have this book of quotes .
And this one quote caught my eye .
Really ?
Is it that simple ?

I cannot believe my mother hid such a big thing from me .
( The one chapter which contains all the secrets will be the last chap . The timing of when Jennifer gets to know a big ( Yet incomplete ) secret is right after when she gets to know it was her mom and Ben talking to each other . But OFCOURSE , we wouldn't want to know that just now . )

So my dad was murdered.
He didn't die in an accident , as my mother told me .
He was found dead in the lawn of the house next to ours , where no one lived .
And he wasn't found dead with a knife in his stomach or a rope tangled around his throat , like most murders would be .
He was found dead..... Burned .

I shake my head to get the imagination away .
Who bastard would burn my dad ?!
Why would mom hide this from me ?
Why would Ben hide this from me ?

I have too many questions and no answers .

I pull Ben's arm .
He yanks .
" Ouch ! Why would you do that ?! " He says , rubbing his arm .
I roll my eyes .
" Who ? " I ask.
He looks at me .
" Who let the dogs out ? " He says , one of his eyebrows raised .
I bite the inner skin of my mouth to not laugh .
" I mean - who killed dad ? " I say , " Not who let the dogs out ! " I add sarcastically .
He grins .
" Well um.. I have no idea . " He says shrugging .
I frown .
" I know it when u lie . Tell me the truth. "
He shrugs again.
" I don't know . " He says.
" It's when u shrug u lie. " I say in a bored voice.
He bites the inner skin of his mouth to stop smiling.
" So . Who is it ? " I ask , keeping my right hand on my waist .
He looks tense , as if deciding whether he should say me or not .
I sigh .
" Look Ben . You can trust me . He is - was - my father after all ! " I say , tip-toeing to keep a hand on his shoulder.
He looks down at me slowly.
" Well - it was - "
" BENNY ! "
Declan .
I bite my lip so hard blood comes out .
He had to come just now ?!
" Declan ! " Ben says in a thankful tone.
" Wassup ? " Ben says , slipping his hand in his pocket .
" Nothing much . " Declan says .
" BENNY ! " Lucifer says from behind .
Today Lucifer wears a rather weird costume .
Lucifer has abs , so he looks weird in his girly pink shirt and blue tight jeans . His hair is tied in a man-bun .
When did his hair grow so long ?
" Ah Lucy . U look rather hot today . " Declan says.
OK. THESE GUYS NEED A ROOM.
" Yuck guys. " I scrunch up my nose in disgust .
But these people are already kissing.
I look away .
Glancing at Ben , he's looking at me , but looks away when he sees me looking at him.

I still need to know who killed my father.
