The murder

Chapter : 10

" Ben . " I hiss .
He doesn't move .
" Ben ! " I say , louder this time .
He just moves a little and keeps an arm around me , trying to pull me beside him .
But I slap his hand away .
Then he opens one eye .
I smile though I don't want to .
" What do u want ? " He says in a horrible voice . Ok . So maybe , apart from his beautiful hair , his British strong warm voice is also attractive .
" I want some ... Advice . " I say.
" On ? " He asks , shutting his eye .
I grin and shake him .
" Move ! " He groans and says , wrapping the blanket over himself .
I roll my eyes .
" Ben it's urgent ! "
He swats my hand away.
" I'm not a mosquito ! "
" Well you are acting like one ! A very , very irritating one . "
*Massive eye roll* .
" It's about dad . " I hiss .
He jumps , freaking me out .
" Mr. Erick ? "
I nod .
" Mr. Erick . " I repeat .

Ben takes in a sip of his fresh orange juice .
" So . What did u want to tell me at...- " He glances at his watch , " - 6:30  ? "
I bite my Nutella bread .
" I think that it wasn't dad who was the burnt body , of course . Because he's alive , as we all know . "
He nods .
" But- but now who was the body ? "
He looks up at me .
" No idea. " He says.
" Hm.. Well I just thought , u know , when dad fake died , Uncle Kyle went missing . "
Bens eyes widen .
" Right. " He says slowly , almost cautiously .
" Hmm.. " I start , " So I thought . What if the body was of his . Because , see , I was the only one who knew , as mom said ,  dad died in an accident , right ? Everyone else knew - or thought that dad died in a murder , burnt . And what about Uncle Kyle ? Uncle Kyle suicided , right ? We found a suicide letter too ! Now what if someone burnt him instead of dad , because they never found Uncle Kyle's body , now did they ? They found the suicide letter in his room with his fingerprint on it . Fingerprint of blood , which was a proof the letter was written by him . Now what if this person forcefully put his fingerprint on the letter and then burnt him ? Or what if someone who knew Uncle Kyle well , someone who knew his handwriting wrote the letter ? And then murdered him . And then dad - who died for everyone - ran away for some reason . And left Uncle Kyle dead. " I finish .
Ben's reaction is priceless . He looks at me wide eyed and mouth hung open.
" Wow . " He says .
" What ? "
" That was damn smart ! " He says , finishing the last of his omelette .
I shrug . " It was obvious . "
" No it wasn't . " He says.
I roll my eyes .
Then I glance at the watch .
Time to get ready .
Not was school .
For investigation .
