Chapter : 6

I think about following mom.

Ben isn't going to blurt out the truth. No matter what I do.
Mom certainly knows the truth but she wants to hide it .

Then who will give me the truth ?!
So there's only one think I imagine to do .
I never thought I would do it but.....

I will follow my mother.

I hear my moms voice and I instantly hide behind the pillar .
" Ben ! " She says loudly in a sing-song voice .
Ben comes into the scene , huffing and puffing .
He gasps for air and cups his hands on his knees.
" Yes ma'am ? " He says between gasps .
She smiles . And for the first time , my mother looks evil .
" I'm going to meet Erick . I need you to say Jenny that I have gone to Aunt Lucy's house for a few hours and I would return at night . "
Erick ?
That's my dads name .
No . Obviously she meant some other Erick .
Ben looks at her for several minutes , as if wanting to say something but relenting .
Then he's let's out a sigh.
" Fine . I'll- I'll do it . "
Moms smiles .
" Thank u honey . Bye ! " She says and walks out .
After Mrs.Urika and Ms.Rebecca close the doors , I walk out of my hidden place .
When Ben sees me , his expression changes to a smile.
" Hey. Mother has gone out to meet Aunt Lucy . " He says .
I quickly get my purse .
" I have no time Ben . I understand you have to work for my mother but you don't have to lie , okay ? "
He looks at me , shocked .
" Wait. Wha- "
I keep a hand on his shoulder .
" I'm following mom. Take care. " I say and rush out , ignoring the shouts of Ben.

I sit inside my car and follow my mother .
She's heading somewhere I've never been .
Somewhere that's very forest-y .
She suddenly stops a little father and I wait for her to get out in a corner.
When she locks her car and goes further , I get out of my car , lock it and run silently behind her .
I take out my boots so they won't make noise .
She stops somewhere .
It's a big house , though one leveled , but big enough .
She types in a passcode and the shutter slowly opens .
She looks around , and I duck under a large bush .
Then she smiles and walks in .
When I'm sure she's gone , I run and slip into the house , the shutter so down it would've cut my throat if I didn't have gymnastics skills .
She keeps the purse on a wooden table and walks into a corner , takes a turn and disappears into a room .
I slowly sneak inside , and just when I was going to walk into the room , the door automatically shuts .
Woah . This is a hella of a house .
I press my ear to the door so I can hear .
" Is she alright ? " I hear a mannish voice speak .
" Yes . She's all fine. " mom says.
I hear the person let out a sigh .
" When will I be able to meet her ? " I hear the man speak.
Where have I heard that voice ?
Hmmm....
" Meet her ?! " My mother speaks . " Ha ! " She lets out a laugh , " Do u know what a huge problem that would be if u meet her ? "
" But- "
" She thinks your dead , Erick . Everyone thinks your dead . And if u suddenly come back , what will be their reaction ?! How many questions they will ask ! " Mom says .
Erick sighs .
" I know darling . But she is my daughter . I haven't met her in 5 years ! I'm desperate to meet her . "
Mom sighs , " I know you do , Erick . Maybe - maybe if you wears a different costume , a different name , then maybe you meet her , you know . I could introduce you as a friend . "
" U think you could do that ? " He says , excitement clear in his voice .
Mom chuckles .
" Ofcourse I could do that , Erick . You are my husband - And Jennifer's father after all ! "
