Chandler's POV

I checked my reflection in the mirror. I was wearing dress shoes, jeans, and a white shirt with a black coat over it.

I made sure my hair was fully combed. I had cut a few inches off it about 2 years ago.

"Chandler!" Monica, my fiancé, called. "Katelyn texted you!"

I walked into the bedroom and picked up my phone.

Katelyn: Should I dress up?

I smiled and texted her back.

Chandler: A little...but not too much

Katelyn: Okey dokey artichokey

I chuckled and put the phone down.

I looked at the time. 5:30. Leave it to Kate to get ready at the last minute. I smiled to myself. I went and laid down next to Monica. Her long black hair was pulled into a ponytail and her blue eyes were focused on the tv.

At 5:45, I texted Katelyn and asked what her room number was.

Katelyn: 76

Chandler: kk

5 minutes later, I got up and got ready to leave.

"When are you planning on being back?" Monica asked, rolling over to face me.

"Um," I said, trying to think. "I'm taking her out for ice cream after so probably around 8:00 or 8:30."

"Okay," she responded, smiling. "Have fun!"

I leaned down and kissed her and walked to the door.

"Oh, and Chandler!" Monica called. I turned around and faced her.

"Tell her if she steals my man, I will wring her neck," she said before starting to laugh.

I laughed with her, knowing she was only joking.

"Alright, bye," I said and walked out the door.

I slowly walked down the hall looking for room 76.

When I finally found it, I cleared my throat and knocked on the door.

Katelyn opened it a moment later.

She was wearing black flats, tight jeans, and a loose floral shirt. Her hair was softly curled.

She looked beautiful.

I slightly shook my head when I remembered Monica. My wonderful fiancé.

Katelyn laughed a little. "What? No flowers?" she asked in good humor.

I chuckled. "Sorry, I forgot."

She smiled widely. "It's so good to see you again, Chandler."

She stepped toward me and wrapped her arms around my neck in a hug.

I returned it, remembering instantly how much I had missed the incredible hugs she gave.

She let go and inspected me. "Wow," she said. "You look snazzy."

I chuckled. "You don't look so bad yourself."

She curtsied. "Why, thank you, sir."

I fixed my jacket obnoxiously and pretended to act proper.

I held my arm out. "Shall we, madam?" I asked in a British accent.

When she caught on to what I was doing, she laughed before becoming proper herself.

"Why, of course, Sir Chandler," she said, attempting a British accent.

She failed quite miserably, but I didn't say anything. It was honestly really cute.

She linked arms with me.

"Shall we skip?" I asked, maintaining my proper act.

"Oh, certainly," she responded.

We started skipping down the hall as I sang a little ditty.

"Skippty loo, oh, skippty loo...."

Even though we were acting like complete idiots, with Katelyn laughing beside me, I was having the most fun I had had in a long time.

And for a moment, just for a moment, I completely forgot about Monica.
