Arthur was tired of no one believing him. The Flying Mint Bunny, Captain Hook, no one except for him believed they existed. Alfred and Francis always made it a point to make fun of him, he wasn't talking to himself, he was talking to his friends! After everyone's teasing and disbelief, never in a million years did Arthur think he'd find a person like him. Someone who could see his friends too. Someone who didn't think Arthur was crazy. It was a girl in his year, she was in a few of his classes, but mostly he knew her for the girl who was always alone.
Just alone in the corner of the class. He wondered where her friends were, but it didn't take long to figure out that she had none. Poor girl..
The first day he met her was just a usual day. He had a long boring class, unfortunately one were he was sat next to Alfred, so the ringing in his ears from Alfred's constant shouting of the word 'Hero' was still there. His head hurt too, he just wanted the class to be over. He finally got his relief when the bell rung loudly and the teacher let the class go. He went to his locker quickly, where he found Flying Mint Bunny waiting for him. He said a quick hello and patted it on head before opening his locker and packing his books away; grabbing a few for next lesson as well.
Flying Mint Bunny would follow him around, either rested on his shoulder, or just flying around nearby. This time it'd opted to rest on Arthur's shoulder. They were walking round the back of the school, to get some peace and quiet, but before they could get there, Arthur heard the faint sound of crying. He stopped, looking around for the noise, until he figured out that the noise was actually coming from his destination, the back of the school. Flying Mint Bunny perked up and flew off Arthur's shoulder, round to the back of the building.
"H-Hey! Where are you going?" Arthur said, running after it. He finally managed to catch up, stopping in his tracks when he saw where the sobbing was coming from. The lonely girl in some of his classes. She had her knees hugged tightly to her chest, and she had tears slowly rolling down her face. But her head perked up as she felt something poke her. Arthur was surprised to see her not look at him, but look at the Flying Mint Bunny instead. She smiled sadly and patted its head, wiping her tears with her other hand. She hadn't even noticed Arthur. But Arthur was to shocked at the fact that she could see the Flying Mint Bunny; she was interacting with it too.
"H-Hey, you can see that?" Arthur cautiously asked, making himself noticed. The girl gasped slightly and looked over at him. She wiped her tears as if they were never there, but Arthur could still see the tear stains on her cheeks.
"Oh I'm sorry! Yeah I can see it, is it yours?" She asked innocently. Arthur couldn't believe what he was hearing. She could see them! He couldn't hold back the smile that adorned his features. He nodded his head and walked over to her.
"Yeah, it's mine, if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing at the back of the school?" He asked. Sure, Arthur was going to the back of the school too for peace and quiet from Alfred's shouting, maybe she was here for the same reason? But why was she crying. The girls eyes widened.
"Is this where you usually sit? I'm sorry! I can leave if you want?" She stuttered, quickly rising to her feet. The Flying Mint Bunny flew back over to Arthur and rested on his shoulder. He shook his head.
"No it's fine! I just came here to get away from that git Alfred.. It would be ungentlemanly of me to take your place here anyway!" He said folding his arms. "So, do you mind if I sit here with you? I'm Arthur by the way." He asked, feeling his cheeks heat up slightly. He never was the one for social interaction, but this girl was interesting. She wouldn't think he was crazy. She shyly nodded her head and hesitantly sat back down, Arthur sat next to her.
"I'm (F/N)." The Flying Mint Bunny crawled over to her shoulder. She smiled and lightly petted its head with her finger. Arthur eyed her curiously.
"Hey, you know you're the first person I've met who can actually see creatures like the Flying Mint Bunny." He informed her. She met his eyes and nodded her head.
"Oh, I haven't met anyone else like this either. Though I don't have any creatures that follow me around.." She said with a sad smile. Lonely, she looked lonely. "People at school make fun of me whenever I do see them though.." She said, making Arthur raise an eyebrow.
"You too? I'm the same, that bloody frog Francis makes fun of me about it." He complained. "Even my own brother Alfred teases me!" (F/N) let out a quiet giggle.
"Yeah so does my brother!" She said smiling, wiping her eyes again to make sure there were no left over tears. "He-" She looked like she was about to explain and compare her similarities of teasing with Arthur, but she stopped dead in her tracks and just ended up looking down at the grass. Did he say something wrong?
"Hey, what's wrong? Did I say something?" He asked cautiously. She remained unresponsive for a couple of seconds before shaking her head and smiling.
"N-No, it was nothing! Never mind." She said, simply brushing it off. Arthur was about to question a little further, but the bell for end of lunch rang loudly through out the school. Saved by the bell. (F/N) stood up and brushed off her clothes of any grass that might of clung to them. She gave Arthur another shy smile.
"I guess I'll see you around?" She said. Arthur nodded his head. He wanted to see her again, after all, she was the same as him.
"Yeah, I'll see you around."

The next few weeks passed by fast. Arthur had made friends with (F/N) quite quickly, despite Arthur's lack of that certain skill. Their friendship mostly revolved around the fact they both had the ability to see magical creatures. (F/N) especially liked the Flying Mint Bunny, since it was the reason she and Arthur had met in the first place.
Also, the back of the school being the place they both met, it was now also the place they'd meet each other at lunch too. Though the first couple of times the circumstances of their meeting was a little strange.
When he first met her, she was crying alone. The second time he saw her at the back of the school, she was crying again. The same with the third and fourth. But each time he asked her why, she just grew really distant and wouldn't say much much.
Just like she wouldn't say anything about the marks on her body. Bruises, cuts, all sorts. Each excuse was the same, and sometimes she didn't even have an excuse and she would remain silent.
Sometimes she wouldn't cry, she'd just sit at the back of the school with her knees hugged close to her chest and a distant look in her eyes. Though Arthur could never figure out why and all his guesses led to dead ends. She was just the girl who cried a lot or just didn't cry at all.
It was one certain lunch time were this time when Arthur went to the back of the school to meet her, she was crying again. But she had her face buried in her arms as she quietly sobbed. Arthur quietly stepped towards her and spoke.
"Crying again (F/N)?" He sighed. She quickly shot her head up, he must of scared her. Were his footsteps that quiet? She nodded her head slowly, but still kept it low. That was when Arthur noticed something off..
She had a black eye.
