"Abba," Tali whispered pointing at the clouds that slowly started fading away into a busy city. The Eiffel Tower was barely visible with the cloudy air.
Tony laughed. "Yes, Tali. That's Paris." He started gathering Tali's crayons and little toys that were tossed about in the little airplane seats.
"Ima?" Tali looked over at Tony with her big brown eyes. The same eyes that her mother had.
Her father sighed. Tali would ask about her mother constantly, not understanding that she was supposedly not coming back. Tony however, refused to believe that Ziva was dead. If the love of his life was dead, he would know. Mossad said that her DNA was in the house, and they also said that there was a body. But they never said that the body was identified as her.
"Ima is not here," he choked out. Tony hated saying that to Talia.
Tali stuck out her lip and looked out the window again. The last time she was in a plane, she was crying the entire time. No one blamed her.
After a french announcement over the sleeker above them, Tony unhooked his belt and helped Tali unhook hers.
"Abba!" Tali said raising her little arms above her head, signaling for Tony to pick her up.
"Oh, Common," he whispered scooping her out of the grey airplane seat that she was belted into for the 8 hour non-stop flight.
Tony grabbed his and Tali's carryons and headed toward the front of the plane.
"Special Agent DiNozzo!" Someone yelled from behind the two.
Tony turned around to unfamiliar man. The man had reddish-blonde hair with grey eyes. He was about 5'9" and somewhat heavyset. His light blue shirt and grey washed jeans confused Tony as he tried to place the man. "Just Tony now," he said slowly.
"You don't remember me? I'm Earl, Earl Gavert. You and your partner," he paused moving forward through the airplane door into the large tube. "Oh, man, what is her name? Real pretty, long wavy brown-"
"Ziva, her name was Ziva." Tony whispered adjusting Tali on his right arm.
"Ima!" She yelled excited looking around at her mothers name. Tony hated hearing her act so excited.
"Shh, no Ima's not here." Tony whispered glaring at the man.
"Anyway you and your partner saved my kid from that serial killer in 2009." Earl finished looking at Tali. "Say, that kid of yours looks awful like her."
"I'm sorry, but I need to go," Tony quickly said turning away from the man and quickly making his way to the baggage claim.
Since Tony shipped most of his belongings earlier in the week, Tony only had to carry one suitcase other than Tali's and his carryons.
"Ready to see our new home Tali?" Tony asked as he set his little girl down next to him. She grabbed the side of his jeans as he made his way through the busy airport with his his luggage in toe.
-.-
When the taxi dropped the two off at the little townhouse, Tali ran up the stairs and reached for the doorknob.
"Hold on, Tali!" laughed Tony as he grabbed his keys and stuck them in the door. When the door unlocked Tali rushed in. "There you go,"
"Abba!" She yelled happily running into the first door on the right which was the living room. At the moment, that was where the movers had piled everything up when it arrived a few days ago.
Tony followed her into the room and put the luggage next to the boxes. "Do you wanna pick out your room?"
She nodded and dashed back into the hallway and up the stairs that led to the second level of the small townhouse.
The townhouse was two levels with a kitchen, living space, half bathroom and dining room on the first floor. Tony was planning on making the dining room a play room for Tali.
On the second floor, there were two full bathrooms, one being the master suit. It also had three bedrooms.
"Abba!" Called Tali a few moments later. Tony made his way up the steps to find Tali in the master bedroom.
"Tali, this is Abba's bedroom. Tali's room is down the hall." He explained.
Tali walked down the hall and stopped at the first door on her left. She walked inside and sat in the middle of the floor.
"What's wrong, Tali?" Tony asked sitting down next to her.
"Sad," she softly said. It was rare for her to speak English, since she had only been around it for a few weeks. But Tony was working hard at teaching it to her.
"Why, Tali?" He asked lifting her up on his lap.
She reached down her shirt and pulled out the Star of David necklace. Tony took a deep breath. "I miss her too," Tony reached for his wallet and pulled out a picture.
The picture was the one that he had taken of Ziva in Paris. The photo was in black and white with creases in random places. Ziva was holding a paper and looking to the right of the camera.
"This is one of my favorite pictures of your mother, Tali," he whispered, studying the photograph. "She..." A tear escaped his emerald eye.
"No Cry, Abba." Tali commanded wipping the tear from Tony's cheek. "Ima..." She was surging for the word in her little mind. Frustrated, she made a little heart with her fingers. Then, she pointed at Tony's chest. "Abba,"
