Tony smiled, another tear running down his face. "She loved you too, Tali."
He wrapped his arms around his daughter, he wrapped his arms around his last connection with the love of his life.
"Abba?" Tali whispered turning her head and looking up at him.
Tony smiled at her. "Are you hungry?" He asked smiling.
She furiously nodded her head in happiness, then shooting up to her feet.
"Okay, how about..." He smiled standing up. "Pizza?" He laughed picking Tali up.
She nodded her head again and laughed. Pizza was Tali's favorite food, like her father.
-.-.-
Days turned into weeks in that small Paris townhouse. A month after Tali and Tony moved to Paris, Tony became restless.
"Hey, Tali!" Called Tony from where he was sitting on the couch. His laptop was sitting on the small table in front of him. "Tali!"
"Abba?" She called pattering down the wood floor hallway.
"Come here, sweetie." He picked her up and sat her on his knee. She fiddled with the Star of David necklace.
"Do you want to go shopping?" He asked her, needing to get out of the house.
"Yes!" She yelled excitedly. She jumped off his knee and ran up the stairs to her room to get her shoes.
Tony sighed and opened up his online chat while he waited on his daughter. While Tony still keeps in touch with Abby and McGee, that was not why he was logging in.
He opened up Zivas chat and checked the last time she logged in. 'About a year ago,' it said next to her name.
He sighed and closed his laptop. "Ready, Tali?" He called.
"Mhm!" She answered standing right behind him.
"Oh there you are," he laughed grabbing his wallet and keys. "Let's go,"
Tony followed as Tali jumped down the concrete stairs in front of the townhouse. Talia waited at the bottom of the stairs when she arrived at the bottom.
"Let's go," Tony plastered a fake smile on his face, something that he has done very well lately.
Tali grabbed Tony's hand and pulled him along the sidewalk, toward the small shops that were a few blocks away.
-.-.-
"Should Daddy get this?" Tony asked putting a huge floppy hat on his head.
"No!" Giggled Tali as she eyed a hat herself. It was a mint green floppy hat made for kids.
"Put it on," Tony told her after he put his hat back.
Tali put the mint green hat on her head and looked up at Tony. Her big brown eyes were barely visible but her toddler teeth smiled widely.
Tony looked down at Tali. "You look gorgeous,"
Tali blushed and took off the hat.
"Tali, can I please see it?" Tony asked reaching for the hat. Tali handed Tony the hat. Tony grabbed her hand and walked up to the register.
"Did you find everything alright?" The lady asked as she rung up the small hat.
"Yes ma'am," Tony answered pulling out his wallet to pay for the mint colored hat.
"You don't happen to be Anthony DiNozzo?" Asked the cashier as she finished the purchase.
"Depends on who's asking," he answered handing the hat to his daughter.
"This letter was dropped off a few days ago," the lady handed Tony a large yellow envelope.
"By any chance do you know by who?" He asked studding the outside of the envelope.
"No, Sr." She answered. "I was not on shift when it was dropped off."
"Oh, okay. Thank you miss." Tony said confused.
-.-.-
Tali hopped over the sidewalk cracks on the walk home. One hand was holding the hat on her head, while the other was clutching a lollipop Tony got her at the candy store.
She stood at the bottom of the stairs in front of the townhouse. She sat on the front step and mingled with the necklace.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," Tony teased jogging up to the stairs. He flips off Tali's hat as he passes.
"Abba!" She laughed grabbing her hat off the ground.
"Common!" Tony called as he unlocked the door, opening it up for Tali to run in.
She immediately ran up the stairs to her room. Tony on the other hand stared at the envelope in his hands.
Opening it, he found one small item...
a paperclip.
