Chapter 13

Alex's P.o.v.

"Mommy, when is Maggie going to have her baby?" Grayson asks as I finish washing his hair. "In a couple months. Are you excited?" I ask draining the tub. He nods his head as he gets out.

"Can you and daddy have a baby?"

I was alittle taken back by his question, but I answer anyway.

"Do you want a little brother or sister?" I ask wrapping his towel around him. "Yes." He says. I smile as I pick him up and bring him to his bedroom. I change him into his pajamas and tuck him in.

"I'll talk to daddy and see what he says, okay? I love you sweetie, goodnight." I say giving him a kiss on the forhead. "I love you too mommy."

I turn off his light and shut the door. I walk into my bedroom and get changed into shorts and one of Carl's sweat shirts. I call Hunter up stairs and he comes, jumping on the bed and laying his head on my stomach. I grab my phone and text Cody.

Alexxxxxx- Wassss up

Cody-Aye long time no text! What's been poppin?

Alexxxxxx- I got called today and reporters want to interview me for an issue in a magazine about the survivors.

Cody- Omg did you hear how they wanted to make a movie and television series off of what went down during the apocalypse?

Alexxxxxx- What? They want to recreate what we all have been through?

Cody- I guess so.

Alexxxxxx- They can never recreate what we went through...never.

I put my phone on the charger and just as I did Carl walked in.

"Hey babe." He says shutting our bedroom door. He takes off his jeans and his shirt, then his shoes as he gets in bed. Once he's in bed he leans over and our lips connect.

Those sweet soft lips I crave everyday.

I pull away and smile. "I love you, Carl." I say remembering how much we've been through. Carl caresses my cheek and strokes gently with his thumb.

"I love you too."

"Always?" I ask. He smiles remembering how we used to do this.

"Always."
