Ayame's POV

The next day after meeting Yosuke and the others I found myself at Naoto's house with her and her grandfather eating breakfast. After the previous days affairs she had asked me if I wanted to stay with her that night which I did after telling my mom where I would be.

''Thank you for the breakfast Isao-san'' (I know her grandfathers name isn't mentioned so I gave him this one meaning; honor, merit) I said to Naoto's grandfather as we clear the dishes and head back to Naoto's room.

''it is quite alright Ayame-chan, you are always welcome here. Remember that if you are ever going through a tough time or need a place to stay just give Naoto a call and come here'' he said in a kind tone I smiled at his words and gave him a quick bow before following Naoto up the stairs and into her room, closing the door behind me.

''Ayame could you help me put away the futons?'' Naoto asked I nodded my head as we started to pack them away as we were cleaning I decided to bring up the whole Kanji topic. Naoto had given me everyone's numbers and told me that she texted mine to everyone.

''Hey Naoto?'' I asked with my back to her so she couldn't see me smirking,

''hmm?'' she hummed

''How do you feel about Kanji-kun? You like him in a romantic way don't you?'' I heard a crash and I turned round to see that she had dropped her cup, staring at me with her face flushed bright red, I giggled a little as she pulled her hat down over her face a little before picking up the cup and continuing to put away the futon.

''Ahaha you can't fool me Naoto I've seen the way you look at him and talk to him plus your my best friend so I can tell. That's so cute and he totally likes you, you should tell him!'' I said starting to squeal a little, suddenly I was pushed forward making me land face first onto the couch, I looked up to see Naoto, her face still flushed but she was laughing.

''Hahaha well what about you I've seen how you kept looking at Yosuke yesterday you can't stand well in your case lie there and tell me you don't feel anything over friendship for him!'' she said laughing and throwing a pillow at me, I gasped dramatically and threw the pillow back at her.

''I... he's just a friend besides I just met him yesterday so I don't know that much about him'' I said defensively, Naoto just laughed and pulled me to my feet,

''Ayame I'm a detective you know you can't lie to me and expect me not to find out you do know that right?'' she said laughing. I giggled and blushed again as we finally put everything away. I looked at her as we both sat down on the couch and looked at my work paper.

''okay lets just both agree that we both like them and there is no point hiding it from each other because one way or another we will find out.'' I said looking up from my papers smiling, she smiled back and nodded her head,

''deal'' she said returning her focus to the papers in my hands. ''so is this the one you are gonna perform to the grade kids later today?'' she said as she took my papers to have a look I stood up and packed my work clothes in my backpack just so I was ready as I nodded my head.

''Mhm that is if any kids show up it is Sunday and maybe kids here aren't interested in learning musical performances you know?'' I said looking at her she smiled and walked over to me,

''Yu said that Nanako-chan is going and a few of her friends so I think it will be awesome. Didn't you also say the local Inaba news team will be there to film your performance?'' she said sounding a little worried, I don't know why she sounded so concerned so I showed her a bright smile.

''Hey I'll be fine Naoto they are just going to film the performance not the actual teaching part, plus I won't even notice them so no worries right? Stop looking so concerned'' she smiled and handed my papers and the CD that was on the table and I put them into my bag.
