It was lunch and Kanji-kun, Naoto and I had met up with Rise-san and went into our sempai's class to have lunch. When we entered we saw Yosuke-sempai and Yukiko-sempai standing next to Yu-sempai and Chie-sempai's desks we walked over and greeted them all with a smile.
''Hey guys!'' Yosuke-sempai said happily, waving to us we waved back as Kanji-kun, Naoto and I went to stand beside him and Rise-san stood next to Yukiko-sempai.
''Hey, we were waiting for you guys I actually wanted to ask you all something'' Yu-sempai started we all nodded our heads motioning for him to continue, ''well Dojima and Nanako seem to be in a really great mood and are asking if we all want to have dinner there tonight, said I could bring you all over. Even you Ayame-chan, Nanako said that she really admired you when you visited her school last week and she has really been enjoying your classes everyday. She wants to meet you over dinner, what do you say?'' Yu-sempai asked smiling warmly and everyone turned to me also smiling I was about to say 'I'd love to' when my phone rang.
''Oh hold on, I need to take this its my mom'' I said turning around they all nodded and started to talk quietly, I noticed that Kanji-kun started to talk with Naoto making them both blush when Yosuke-sempai joined in they stopped blushing but kept chatting happily, Rise-san and Yukiko-sempai were talking about fashion from what I could hear and Chie-sempai was talking to Yu-sempai about Nanako-chan, I smiled at my friends and turned to my phone.
''Hey mom, what's up?'' I asked happily,
''(sniff) Aya hunnie could you.....(cough, cough) come home please'' she said slowly and weakly through sniffing and coughing that concerned me,
''mom? What's wrong are you okay?'' I said speaking a little louder, Naoto turned away from her conversation with Kanji-kun and Yosuke-sempai and walked up to me.
''Yes hunnie I'm okay I just think I've (cough, cough) caught a bug. I can't move from my bed to make any food or get medicine. I'm sorry I hate dragging away from all your wonderful friends to take care of me'' She said sadly I shook my head and smiled, I knew she couldn't see but it happened out of instinct.
''No its okay mom, I'll be right there soon just hang tight till I get home k?'' I said,
''okay thank you hunnie see you soon.''
''Bye mom''
I hung up and looked to my side with a sad smile to Naoto who placed her hand on my shoulder and smiled gently and motioned her head towards everyone who was quietly looking at us concerned. I nodded and turned back around putting my phone in my pocket,
''I really want to come with you all tonight to yours Yu-sempai, Nanako-chan is a very nice little girl and I would love to meet her personally one day, unfortunately that day can't be today. My mom has taken ill and I need to go and care for her so she can return to work, I'm sorry I really wanted to come with you all'' I say bowing a little, Yosuke-sempai walks up to me and places a hand on my shoulder smiling,
''Don't worry about it Ayame-chan, we hope you mom gets well soon. You can meet Nanako-chan another day. No problem right?'' he says happily, I smile at him and nod my head. Its starts to pour outside making me sigh,
''Oh man it just had to rain, I didn't bring my umbrella'' Yosuke-sempai rummages in his bag for a moment before pulling something out and handing it to me. When I look I see he is giving me his umbrella I look up to him surprised then look to Naoto who is smiling and nodding her head slightly.
''Here you can use mine's, I'm not that bothered by the rain and We are all walking to Yu's after school anyway I can just share with him till your finished with it'' he says giving me an adorable smile, I smile back slightly blushing and accept the umbrella from him. I say thank you to him and goodbye to everyone before rushing out of the room to grab my things before running home. I knew Naoto would get the work and homework for me anyway so I didn't need to worry about that.
Naoto's POV
After we all said goodbye to Ayame we all looked at the rain outside. As we did we were quiet before Chie broke the silence,
''Its probably gonna last all night, in fact I think this is gonna last a couple days'' we all turned to her with serious looks on our faces, we knew what she was talking about as we looked to each other and nodded.
''Yeah your right, We should check the midnight channel tonight after we leave sempai's place'' Rise said, we all nodded as the bell rang, Kanji, Rise and I said goodbye to our sempai's and went back to classes, Kanji and I sais goodbye to Rise and walked into our class together and sitting down, brining out what we would need for class. I had a very bad feeling but I shrugged it off as afternoon classes began.
(Time skip to after school, at Yu's place)
We were all laughing and enjoying the dinner that Nanako-chan had made, she needed some help in the kitchen as she was still young so I offered to help her since Yu was busy helping Dojima-san and I was the only other person who could cook in the group.
As we were all eating Nanako-chan turned on the news, who we saw surprised everyone but Kanji, Yosuke and I.
''Wait isn't that Ayame-chan?'' Chie said surprised at the film of Ayame on stage singing and dancing at the Inaba grade school, where Nanako-chan attends. Yosuke nodded and started to explain to everyone about her work and that this was filmed the first day she started work at Nanako-chan's school. Nanako-chan started to bounce up and down a little with excitement on her face.
''Ayame-Sensei's on TV!'' she shouted excitedly, we all looked to her a little surprised,
''Sensei? What do you mean Nanako?'' Yu asked her with a gentle smile,
''Ayame-chan, she told us that we could just call her Ayame-chan but I wanted to call her sensei since she is the best and kindest teacher ever!'' we all laughed at how happy she was and how excited she was being. Suddenly I got a shiver down my spine as we were watching her perform and listening to the pounding rain outside I was having that bad feeling again. I saw Kanji look to me with concern so I shook it of and smiled at him making us both blush a little before turning back to the TV.
After a couple of hours of fun with everyone we all walked home, I arrived at my grandfathers house at about 11:30 and said goodnight to my grandfather who was heading off to bed as I arrived. I ran upstairs and set up my bed waiting for midnight to come I sat on my couch with my eyes slightly shut and my arms crossed.
'11:57' tick '11:58' tick '11:59' tick 'midnight.' I thought as I stood up and walked over to the TV crossing my arms I was really hoping that no one would appear as the TV started to show static, I looked closely and saw a figure it took a few seconds but after a closer look my eyes widened,
