A New Life

Chapter 14

Crow couldn't believe what he was seeing. Just a moment ago, Yusei was practicing with Jack, but now the young duelist was sprawled on the asphalt, his runner not too far from him.
"Yusei!" Crow and Jack shouted as they rushed towarrds their friend. The teen orange haired teen helped him stand up. Yusei let out a slight gasp at the action, quickly bringing a gloved hand to his side. Crow looked, his eyes now wide in fear. Blood soaked the side of his shirt.
Crow glanced at Jack, who was already calling the parimedics.
"Yusei, can you tell me what happened?" He nodded.
"They appered out of nowhere. I tried to.... stear away, but at that speed it kinda is hard to without crashing," He joked, he let out a small laugh only to double over in pain.
"Wait a minute, who are 'they'?" Crow asked. Yusei put up a trembling hand and pointed into the grassy center of the arena.
He motioned for Jack to take the black haired teen. He jogged over to the guard wall and looked over. There was more creatures like Danny. One had spikey white and yellow fur. Another was a rich velvet purple with a red gem in the center of her head. The last was smaller then the two. She was white with large ears and a fluffy tail.
The larger female seemed to be very protective of the smaller like a mother would with their child.
"Hey, Jack. Come look at what I found!" The teen came over once he was sure the medics had Yusei. He looked at the animals.
"They look a bit like Danny." The velvet dropped her guard when she heard the name. She quickly became more protective of the youngest, letting out a low, warming growl.
"We can take you to him. He is with a friend of ours. Trust me he is safe now," Crow reassured them. The female looked at the male. He nodded. She picked up the younger one by the scruff, dispite her protests, showing him that she was ready to follow.
He muttered and okay and grabbed his runner. Crow looked back at the creatures. Once he was sure they were behind him, he pushed his runner out.
Crow and the creatures were about half way to the twin's appartment, when he spotted Luna running towarrds them, Leo and Danny in tow.
"My mark started to glow. Is Yusei okay?" Crow opened his mouth to anwser when a teen male voice shouted behind him.
"Danny!" The fox like creature's ears purked up at the voice. He ran past him to his tag-alongs. Danny and the velvet rubbed their noses together, then reached down to the little one. The spikey one recieved a gentle headbutt from his friend. For once he seemed truly happy.
Crow looked back and Luna and explained what happened to Yusei. They looked back at the happy group and smiled.
"Sam. I missed you so much. How did you guys get here?" Danny asked, his voice hoarse from the lack of use.
"Well we went to Clockwork and, long story short, he sent us here," the velvet explained," I like the bandana. It still has the logo I designed."
Crow looked at Luna for an explaintion.
"This must be his girlfriend, Sam, his best friend, Tucker, and his daughter, Dani," she pulled her gaze from the happy reunion and looked at a very confused orange haired teen. "I will explain that later."
