Lesley

Her hands were interlaced in his thick dark hair pulling him closer. They were tangled up on his bed a moaning mess as they kissed each other tenderly. He would bite her bottom lip gently then peck her lips before retreating to her neck. His touch felt warm and soothing, like everything was alright In his arms.

Her eyes fluttered open as the sight of different band posters filled her vision. His walls were a rich brown with everything else being black. Lesley bit her lip momentarily as she felt his tongue on her skin instantly giving her heart the queue to start beating erratically out of her chest.

They were so close.

She wondered if they could be any closer. Because she felt all the complications melt away being there with him, skin on skin, mouth on mouth, heart with heart.

Yes, her chest leaped with glee and excitement as the handsome boy so close to her brought his warm hand up to her mocha cheek and stroked it gently making her eyes close reveling in the sensation.

They pulled away and stared into each others
eyes. His hand still lay on her cheek with her hand tangled in his hair.

Their breathing stabilized, as she searched for something In his eyes. Lesley searched for remorse, regret, anything to convince herself that what they were doing was wrong.

But as she gazed into his eyes, she swore she saw stars.
~~~
She woke up in a cold sweat as she looked at the alarm clock next to her. It read that it was one in the morning.
Lesley looked next to her, a tiny bit of her hoping he was there. Like in her dream.
Goosebumps appeared on her skin as her thoughts were filled with her earlier sub conscience rendezvous. She closed her eyes in attempts to recall that splendid dream. god, she couldn't stop thinking about how his lips felt on her.
But she knew that couldn't happen.
They were too different. Too much had happened.
Lethargically sitting up, she rubbed her eyes trying to rid them of sleep and most importantly her mind from him.
~~
School was beginning to be a drag. Christmas break was a mere week away and Lesley wanted nothing more than to go home and watch old holiday movies with Hop as they sipped on a hot mug of gingerbread coffee.
The halls were decorated for the upcoming holiday with wreaths decorated with various ornaments and meticulously tied bows. Lights were strung across the ceilings that draped down in a canopy fashion. The hallways had a soft orange glow and smelled of vanilla.
But even with all of that, the frown on her face remained. It was that time of the year where everyone was taken and unashamed to show it publicly. The holding of hands and open kisses. It reminded her that that wouldn't be her anytime soon. She had no friends, and barely left her house.
She strolled to class with her head down and a cinnamon mint in her mouth. It made her cheeks tingle from its strong taste. She crossed the threshold of the classroom sitting in the front row of algebra 2. As she was taking out the homework assigned to them the night before, their teacher, Mr. Wilkins' voice boomed.
"So, I've graded some of your midterms, and some of you didn't do so well. This is why I've decided to assign extra credit," sighs of relief were heard throughout the room, "anyone who decides to take this opportunity, which I highly recommend, would need to attend our schools basketball game this Friday. But that's not all. You will be required to write a three paragraph essay explaining how math is evident in sports. Again I highly suggest that everyone take advantage of this."
