Julius's POV

I woke up to a loud scream and someone running around the castle. I could hear their heartbeat and I could hear them phasing, but not fully it seemed. There was no thump of paws on the marble floors. I sat up, my arm unwrapping from the human girl's torso. I looked down at her and rubbed my forehead.

"What the hell happened last night?" I muttered and was about to go back to sleep when my door flew open. Liam stood there snarling.

"Get your ass up! She got out! She is bleeding and in mid-phase. It seems that someone has been giving her too much wolfsbane and now I don't know what's going on." He rushed out and then turned and sprinted down the hall. I got up and took off after him, phasing in the middle of the hall. My paws thumped against the marble and my claws scratched the shiny surface but I could care less at the moment about the floors. As I ran through the corridors the drips of blood got larger and larger. The moment I set my paw out the door I phased back and screamed her name. She kept phasing and un-phasing. Her body would blur forward and then she would be back to running like a normal human. It was like she didn't know she was even doing it. My warriors were gaining on her and I trailed behind. I watched as she phased and left them in the dust as she twirled around and ran in the other direction. I let my beast side take over and barely felt my paws hitting the ground, my body scrunching in on itself as I lept through the forest and over logs. When I reached the river bank I barely saw her head go under before I took off after her. Running beside her floating body, I looked ahead to see a large rock over the bank and sprinted toward it and crouched down so I could reach her. My teeth caught her shirt and I hauled her small frame out of the water. When her body hit the ground her head immediately rolled to the side. I phased back and pressed my hands to her chest, attempting CPR. I kept trying, only getting little dribbles of water from her mouth. I pressed my mouth to hers and blew air into her mouth. I pressed my hands to her chest once more and her body arched and out came the water. She kept coughing and I rubbed my hands up and down her back. Finally she stopped coughing and slumped to the ground, I looked down at her pale skin and then her arm which was now ghostly white. I picked her arm up and without a glance at her I sank my teeth into her skin. Her warm blood filled my mouth and I felt the venom in my teeth enter her bloodstream. I pulled back and swallowed the thick liquid in my mouth. I watched as her arm healed and her skin color darkened again to it's normal creamy-color. Her eyes opened and she blurred to her feet. I put my hands out in front of me, as if coaxing a rabid dog to calm down.

"I know you're scared, but I need you to calm down. I'll explain everything at home." She slumped again and I caught her, but she didn't like that because she squirmed around in my arms. I just held her tighter and she eventually stopped.

When we arrived at the castle I saw Judith waiting for us.

"How is she?" I snarled at her.

"How much wolfsbane did you give her?!?" I roared making her whimper.

"I'm quite sorry sir but it seems that her body was intaking more of it. I was using the wolfsbane to heal her quickly, like you said to." I pushed past her and up the stairs to my room. I laid Rose out on my bed and kissed her forehead before leaving her there.

"Good-night Roza." I whisper as I walk out of the room.

Rose's POV

I woke up in a large, comfy bed, with the sun shining in through the large window. I looked around the royal-looking bedroom. There was a couch in front of a large flat screen, and on that couch laid a large body. I got up and felt the medical gown swish around my ankles. As I grew closer I saw more of the large man on the couch, his large bare feet hung off the side of the brown, plush-looking material. A brown comforter was wrapped tightly around his body, his large arms were crossed across his chest, the cords of muscle in his arms were tight and pressed firmly together. Everytime he took a breath his arms tightened a bit and then loosened as they rose with his chest. His bare chest was on full display, skin stretched over pure muscle, with pale white, faded scars that seemed to pop out , contrasting with his golden tan. His face was intricate looking, I knew who he was now, yet I didn't shy away nor flinch back in fear. I was curious, very curious. He looked so...calm? No, that's not the word for it. More like unguarded. His face was still tense but I could just barely see through the mask he wore, the vulnerability shined through the imaginative cracks in his demeanor. His eyebrows were creased together, causing three small wrinkles to form between his eyes. I gazed at his face for a bit longer before deciding to wake him, feeling quite bold. I walked around the couch, and kneeled down next to him. I had barely pressed my hand to his arm when he jolted up and grabbed my arm in a tight grasp, his fingers digging into my skin. I tried to pull away from him, whimpering in pain. His eyes softened and he let go. I scrambled backwards, hitting the wall. He stood up, holding his large hands out in front of him.
