'What's up?' asked Hermione, as they made their way towards the quaint little pub. 'You've barely said a word since we left school' added Harry, 'nothing,' laughed Trinity, I just having been out if the castle for so long, and the snow is just so beautiful don't you think, it's so snug, like everything's been draped in one big cosy white blanket' they laughed 'Beats having your nose in a book eh?' mocked Ron as they entered the pub.

'I better go get a gift for my mum,' said Trinity as she swallowed the last of her butter beer, 'Don't take too long we should be heading back to school soon' replied Harry 'I won't' she assured him, 'You guys can go on without me if I'm late'

Trinity stomped through the thick snow, tiny snowflakes swirled and danced around her; she shivered pulling her coat tighter. 'You pathetic little mud blood' came a voice from behind her, Trinity spun round. On the snow lay a little girl, probably first year, her frightened friends stood next to her cowering. Towering over them was another girl, about Trinity's age, she had short black hair and a face which resembled that of a small bull dog. It was Pansy. A wave of anger washed over Trinity, she rushed over to help the little girl up, barging Pansy out of her way in the process. 'Oy' exclaimed Pansy turning her attention to Trinity, shoving her. 'You'd want to start minding your own business Finch' snarled Pansy shoving her harder. Trinity could feel herself starting tremble, and it wasn't because of the cold, fear griped her stomach. Pansy smirked, 'And keep your monstrous little mug out of my face,' she sneered shoving Trinity a third time, Trinity stumbled but stayed up, 'Your pathetic' she spat, right up close to Trinity's face, she turned to leave. Trinity swallowed, she was determined not to give her the satisfaction. 'Monstrous?' she scoffed, trying to steady her voice, she would show Pansy, she couldn't scare her like she did the first years. Pansy turned, a dangerous glint appearing in her eye 'yes you are' she said her voice cold and dangerous, Trinity ignored it and scoffed, taking a step towards her, 'this is coming from someone who looks like they fell out of the ugly tree, hitting every branch on the way down,' in her head it had seemed like the perfect come back but even as the words left her lips she regretted it, she was going to pay for this. Pansy marched up to her raising her fist, with one swift powerful blow to knocked Trinity to the ground, her head hooping off the icy pavement. Pansy walked off laughing.

Trinity propped herself up against a tree, her head spinning too much to stand. She rested her throbbing head against the tree and began to cry, she thought home, and how she pined for her mother to hold her, smooth her hair and tell her everything was going to be ok. But her mother wasn't here, no one was, she was alone. She cried harder. 'Trinity?' she looked up her eyes blurred with tears, it was Malfoy. 'Are you crying?' he seemed concerned, 'no' she sniffed, quickly wiping her face, 'you sure?' he said gently, sitting next to her. 'Yes' she insisted, avoiding his eye 'I... I was just have an allergic reaction to some feelings' 'look, Pansy told me what happened' 'Did she?' snapped Trinity, beginning to get angry, 'and I suppose you all had a jolly great laugh about it' 'well I'm glad I provide you with such amusement' 'Hey it wasn't like that' exclaimed Draco, 'I came to see if you were ok' 'and what' she said turning to face him, 'am I supposed to be grateful!? Is that it' she snapped, 'You didn't seem too concerned the other day, did you? But I suppose it's alright now' she snarled 'now that no one's watching,' 'well if that's how you feel I'll go then,' stated Draco slightly hurt, getting up, 'Oh don't bother' she snapped 'I'm going' she went to get up, but as she did her head seared with pain, she clutched it and winced, losing her balance. Draco slid his arm quickly round her waist and caught her. 'Your right' admitted Draco his voice softening, his arm remained firmly griping her waist, 'I'm sorry about the other day,' his voice sincere, 'You are?' she asked quietly looking into his silvery eyes, her anger dying. He nodded. 'Are you ok to walk back do you think?' 'Yea I'll be fine' she nodded.

They had only made it a few steps and Draco could see she was struggling. 'sit down for a minute' he said directing her towards a snowy bank, 'I'm fine' she insisted trying to walk on but she stumbled, again he caught her, and lowered her on to the bank, she gave in and allowed him. 'That was quite a blow she gave you,' teased Draco sitting next to her, 'Ya think' she snapped sarcastically, he smirked. The sun was getting low behind the hills, they watched in a content silence as the golden, red rays danced on the snowy hills, creating a specular show of light.

Trinity started to realise how tired she was, her head lolled and rested on Draco's shoulder, her soft hair touching his cheek. He looked down at her and smiled. Her thick black hair shimmered in the light, he noticed the side of her face, it was bruised and cut and was starting to go a pale shade of lilac. He raised his hand and gently stroked her cheek, she turned to face him 'does it hurt' his said softly, she shook her head. He looked into her eyes, they were sparkling pools of deep blue drawing him in, her lips were soft and pink he longed to kiss them. Their heads moved closer. They were almost touching. He could feel her warm breath on his face, although thawing his cold skin. The longing became unbearable, he leaned closer and in one magical moment their lips touched. The warmth of her mouth as she kissed him back sent an electric current though his body. Cautiously she put her hands on his neck pulling him closer. He placed his hands on her waist holding her gently as he lay on the snow.

Trinity lay next to him, one hand on his cheek. She pulled away, slightly out of breath, and clearly stunned, 'First?' asked Draco, laughing at the expression on her face, she nodded. Their eyes met and the both laughed, still lying side by side in the snow, noses touching slightly. She rolled over and rested her chit on his chest, fiddling with the buttons on his coat, 'We should go back now' 'we should' he agreed, smirking 'It's getting late,' she added 'It is' he smirked, pulling her closer and stealing another kiss. She giggled and kissed him back.
