'Fine don't come to Hogsmeed with us.' Stated Hermione 'But you, should eat something' she urged, looking down at where Trinity sat hunched up underneath her bed covers. Trinity shrugged and looked up at her friend, her chin resting on her knees 'I don't feel well' she moaned. 'Come on' urged Hermione 'It's been over a week. You need to get over him, trust me Draco is not worth it.' Trinity shook her head, 'I can't help it.' She sighed 'I keep going over and over things in my head but it's no use. I just wish I know where it went wrong, what I did to make him hate me so much.'

'Hey' snapped Hermione, 'you need to stop thinking about it. You didn't do anything wrong, it's not your fault Malfoy's an asshole! I have to go now' she said as she buttoned her coat. 'But promise me that while we're gone you'll do something that doesn't involve moping about thinking about that worthless git '. Trinity smiled, 'I promise'

Trinity had kept her promise to Hermione (well partly anyway). She didn't mope about, instead she managed to drag herself out of bed and to the library where she attempted to do some homework, but she couldn't stop thinking about Draco. She was starting to come to the conclusion that maybe the blame did not lye solely with her. She had the feeling he was hiding something, but for the life of her she couldn't think what.

After they came back Trinity joined her friends in the hall of supper. 'you feeling better then?' asked Harry as she sat down next to him. 'Yea' she nodded. There seemed to be some sort of buzz and excitement among the students, 'what's going on?' she asked. 'you mean you didn't hear?' gasped Ron 'Katie almost died!'. 'what!' cried Trinity 'is she ok? What happened?' 'Someone gave her a cursed necklace, intending for her to give it to Dumbledore' explained Hermione. 'who would do such a thing' she exclaimed, 'Harry thinks it was Malfoy' said Ron through a mouthful of cake. 'I know it was' protested Harry. 'You don't know that Harry' reminded Hermione 'you have no proof'. Trinity felt sick, she knew Harry could be right, she didn't want him to be but she couldn't deny Draco was up to something.

That night after supper she followed Draco as he made his way to the room of requirement. When he entered she waited a moment before following him inside. When she entered she was surprised to find Draco standing waiting for her. 'What do you want Finch?' he snapped coldly. 'Is it true?' she asked, ignoring his question, 'what their all saying, is it true?' He smirked 'that's why you've been following me. Because of some stupid rumour' sneered Draco. 'Is it true?' she repeated. 'What do you think?' he shrugged, turning to leave the room.

She followed him out in to the dimly lit corridor; it was empty as everyone had already gone to bed. She marched up to him and grabbed his arm. 'That's just it' she cried 'I don't know what to think anymore'. Just then they heard footsteps approaching, they panicked. Quickly Draco grabbed her and pulled her into a nearby class room, he closed the door gently and they both held their breath as they heard the footsteps pass by. For a moment they didn't move, but then Draco seemed to realise he was still holding her and leapt back as it he had just received an electric shock.

'You need to go back to your dorm' he said hurriedly, reaching for the door handle. 'No.' Exclaimed Trinity pushing him out of the way and blocking the door. 'No, this time you are going to listen to me Draco.' 'I have no interest in what you've got to say Finch' snarled Draco trying to reach past her and open the door. 'I don't care' she snapped pushing his hand away.

'For the past week I've been racking my brains trying to think what I must have done to make you hate me so much' her voice was close to breaking as she tied to hold herself together. 'But it wasn't me, was it?' she continued 'I know something is going on Draco. I know your hiding something.' 'What makes you think that?' he looked up, but looked straight past her still avoiding her eye.

'They say you're dark and evil, but I know that's not who you are' Trinity urged, she stepped forward and gently smoothing her hand against his cheek willing him to just look at her, but his face didn't even flinch. He grabbed her wrist and pushed her hand away, but then instead if just letting it drop he held on for a moment, 'what makes you so sure Finch?' hissed Draco, now looking straight at her 'haven't you ever thought their right, maybe I am a monster!' She smiled and shook her head, 'I know you, and I've seen who you are.' She whispered, leaning slightly closer to him so their foreheads were close to touching 'And you're not a monster'

For a moment neither of them said anything. Draco could feel himself weaken; he wanted to kiss her so bad. He released his grip of her wrist and gently cupped her face with his hands, and unable to help himself, he slowly he leaned in.

Trinity shook her head and pulled away from his grip. 'Good night Draco,' she said turning to go, but before she could leave Draco reached out and seized her wrist, 'stop' he said in a low whisper, almost pleading with her 'stop trying to get inside my head.' He looked up and met her eyes and for the first time she noticed how tired he looked, even in the dim light she could make out his blood shot eyes and the dark almost lilac rings which famed them, 'you'll lose your mind trying to understand me.' she could hear the desperation in his voice but she didn't seem to be at all phased by his statement, instead she gave in a sympathetic smile, 'It's already gone' she whispered before slipping out the door and disappearing down the hall way.
