The next week past and they barely spoke. 'Draco' exclaimed Trinity spotting him across the corridor; he was in what looked like an intense conversation with Snape. Draco turned round on hearing his name, a look of panic came over his face, she began to make her way over to him but as she did he quickly turned and made his way briskly down the corridor and by the look on Snape's face they were clearly mid conversation. Trinity had a sneaking suspicion that he was avoiding her. Fine, if that's the way he wants it she thought to herself, then that's the way he is going to get it.

'What is this?' snapped Snape, as he stood over her desk, holding a sheet of paper between his thumb and fore finger, a clear look of disgust on his face. 'what's what sir' she said sweetly, looking up at him giving him the best, butter wouldn't melt look that she could muster under the circumstances, she was still pretty pissed off from her earlier run in (or lack of run in) with Draco. Snape looked down at her disapprovingly, 'Oh that,' 'Yes Miss Finch. This!' he snarled, callously dropping it on the desk in front of her. 'It's my homework sir,' she spoke through gritted teeth, trying to contain her anger. 'It's a disgrace. Ten points from Gryffindor' he shouted, walking back towards the front of the classroom. ' Well maybe if you bothered to teach me a little better, I wouldn't be so shit,' she muttered angrily under her breath, not intending him to hear, but he did. 'what was that Miss Finch?' he snarled taking a threatening tone, 'Are you talking back to me?' Trinity was fed up 'Well that is usually how a conversation works' she snapped sarcastically. The class fell silent. 'Fifty points from Gryffindor' Snape's voice bellowed across the classroom, 'And you see me after class he hissed'.

Trinity violently shoved her books in to her bag. Between all his shouting and raving Snape had left her with two weeks of detention and three extra homework assignments. She heard the door click as someone entered the classroom, she looked up, it was Draco. 'What do you want' she snapped. 'Can we talk?' She looked at him scrunching her homework up into a tight ball and firing in across the room landing it neatly in the bin. 'And what would we have to talk about?' she snapped coldly. At that moment someone else entered the room, the both looked towards the door where Nevil stood awkwardly 'um...I forgot...I forgot my book' he stammered, feeling the obvious tension in the room, 'Get out Nevil' snarled Draco. 'No, stay' she said smartly, 'Go' shouted Draco, his back to him and his eyes fixed on Trinity. Nevil hesitated. Trinity looked at him giving him a stern stare, 'I...I think I'll come back later Trinity,' 'wise choice' sneered Draco, 'Nevil' called Trinity before he could leave, 'Don't let him push you around,' 'Get your book' she ordered, her eyes now locked on Draco's. 'No...no honestly Trinity its fine I don't really need it anyway' he said quickly scarpering before either of them could say anything else. 'You're such a bully' she exclaimed a hint of disgust in her voice, 'what did he ever do to you?' she said breaking her gaze and heading out the door.

Draco followed her, 'we need to talk' he insisted 'We don't need to do anything,' she snapped, quickening her step. 'Yes we do' he grabbed her arm, for a moment she looked at his arm on hers, and then she shrugged it off and marched in to the girls toilets. He followed her without hesitating, slamming the door shut behind him. She spun round clearly surprised, 'the other day' he said. 'The other day?' she took a step towards him, 'Yea' he smirked. 'Draco' she said her voice calm and steady, 'the other day was a mistake, it shouldn't have happened, let's just forget about it eh?' 'Is that how you feel?' his voice softening, she shook her head; 'It's clearly how you feel' she said getting frustrated, 'what?' he exclaimed, 'oh come off it Draco' she snapped 'You haven't been able to look at me since it happened' 'that's not true' he protested, she scoffed. 'Trinity...' he said softly taking a step towards, she looked at him. 'Look Trinity I...' his gaze shifting to his feet, 'what is it' she asked, becoming concerned. 'It...it's nothing' he stammered, clearly uncomfortable. The bell rang; they stood still, their eyes locked together. A group of girls entered the toilets, stopping dead in their tracks at the sight of Draco Malfoy standing before them. 'We'd better go' she said eventually. He nodded.

'What's wrong' she asked once they were out, 'nothing' he said shrugging her off, 'Draco she exclaimed, grabbing his arm, 'whatever it is you can tell me,' she said gently 'At least tell me why you've been avoiding me,' she pleaded. Draco looked in to her eyes, gently pushing her hair back behind her ear, Trinity had a feeling he was about to tell her. 'Trinity!' someone called, breaking the moment, she looking round to see Cassandra marching towards her, a stern look on her face and her golden ponytail swishing behind her as she walked. Trinity turned back, Draco was gone, her heart sank. 'What have you done to your face' exclaimed her cousin, taking hold of her chin and inspecting her bruised and cut cheek, 'Nothing,' her cousin looked at her, still firmly holding her chin, 'Honestly' assured Trinity, 'Really' said her cousin doubtfully, 'then tell me Trinity, how did you master this very realistic, I've just been beaten up look?,' 'um.. I fell' she replied 'was that Draco Malfoy you were speaking to? Did he do this to you? Look Trinity, I know what he's like, you have to tell someone,' Trinity stepped back from her cousin, releasing her chin from her grip, 'ok, maybe I had a bit of assistance in tripping over, but I promise you Cass Draco had nothing to do with it' 'humm' said Cassandra, looking at her cousin suspiciously, not convinced.
