"I'll see you around, and my offer to join me is always open." Cinder said to the White haired male in front of her before disappearing into the crowd inside the dance hall. Jewel scratched his head and wondered, "Alright, what now?" He had his options at the moment. He could either stay and find Jaune or Ruby, then again he could just call it a night and head to his dorm. Maybe he could go find Mercury and have a little chat with the guy who attacked him before, but Jewel knew where he wanted to be right now.
"Hey, Jewel." A male voice said suddenly, and the male turned to see Jaune standing there with Pyrrah.
"Hello Jewel." The redheaded warrior greeted with a smile.
"Hey Pyrrah." Jewel replied politely, but then he turned to the blonde male and said in an irritated tone, "Now you." Jaune tensed up slightly, a look of fear spreading across his face.
"Ruby tells me your spreading rumors about me." Jewel said looking at Jaune. The male quickly put his hands up defensively and quickly said, "I-I didn't mean anything by it, Jewel, I'm sorry!"
Jewel was about to say something else, but then he took notice of the blonde's attire and tried very hard to stifle a laugh. "J-Jaune, What're you wearing!?" Jewel exclaimed before bursting into laughter at the sight of Jaune in a white dress.
"Eh, A promise is a promise," Jaune replied nonchalantly, "And an Ark never goes back on his word." Pyrrah didn't say anything but she shot a sideways glance and a smile at the male next to her. Jewel could tell that she liked what he had done, and he sensed feelings of admiration from her that could only mean one thing.
"Alright, well, I'll let it go this time Jaune," Jewel said, returning them to the topic at hand, "But make sure it doesn't happen again."
Jaune nodded and replied, "Sure, no problem. Sorry about that."
"Good. Alright, well, I got somewhere to be, but we'll talk later?" Jewel said to the two as he took a few steps away, but then he just continued on, not really waiting for a response from them, he had only one goal in mind. He scanned through the crowd, sensing all the different aura's trying to find that one specific signal. Eventually, he found it, that particular aura that was riddled with evil intent, but for some reason, he was still drawn to her.
Jewel caught Cinder just as she was walking out of the dance hall and said, "Mind if I walk with you?"
"Oh, hello again Jewel," Cinder greeted, a little startled from his sudden approach, "And, no, I don't mind." The two people walked down the moonlit streets, a gentle breeze blowing through the air, causing the dark haired woman to shiver slightly. Jewel, being the nice guy he was, slipped off his suit jacket and draped it over her shoulders.
"What a gentleman." Cinder said to the male, making him smile slightly. It was a nice gesture, and Cinder appreciated it, but it wasn't necessary. Even with a fraction of the Maiden's power, the cold never really bothered her, but she couldn't let on to anyone that something like this existed within her.
After a while of walking and some chatting, the two ended up in front of Cinder's dorm room. "Would you like to come in?" She asked, a tint of pink forming across her cheeks. For the first time in her life, she was nervous about being alone with a man, and thanks to his semblance, Jewel could tell.
"Are you sure?" Jewel asked looking at her.
"Yes. Please, I'd enjoy the company." She replied before opening the door and walking in. Jewel walked into the room and sat down on the bed and looked over at the black haired woman before she said, "I'm going to change real quick." Jewel just nodded at her before she disappeared into the bathroom, leaving Jewel alone in the room.
After a few minutes, Cinder came out of the bathroom wearing some black pj's and carrying Jewel's suit jacket. She sat it down on the desk next to the door before walking over and sitting down on the bed next to the boy on the bed.
"So, Did you have a nice evening?" Jewel asked, trying to start a conversation.
She nodded and replied, "Yes. It was a very nice, not as successful as I would have hoped, all things considered."
Jewel sighed before looking at Cinder and saying, "I'm sorry, but you understand my reasons."
"I do," She said, placing her hand on his, her amber eyes gazing into his ruby ones, "And I don't blame you, personally."
Jewel just looked at her the woman next to him, smiling slightly at her. He wasn't sure what he should do, he wanted nothing more than to trust her, but knew she couldn't be trusted. He wanted to believe she was a good person, but knew that she was evil on the inside. He had never felt so conflicted in his, which with everything he's went through is saying a lot.
He wanted to deny it, but in his heart, he knew what was happening, he was falling for her.
(One could say he was... Cinder Falling for her XD. Guys.... anyone? No? Okay :|)
"Hey, Cinder, can I ask you something?" Jewel said, as he took the woman's hand into his own. She nodded at him as she laced their fingers together.
"Are you sure you can't give up whatever you have planned? Knowing in your heart that many will get hurt, or even worse, would you willingly do what you're planning to do?" Jewel asked, staring intently into her eyes.
"Jewel, I may not have a semblance like yours," Cinder said, "But even I know you knew the answer to that question before you asked it." Jewel just sighed and shook his head. She was right, he did know the answer he was going to receive; Foolish optimism letting him think that maybe he could change her mind.
"Alright," Jewel said to her, "I won't fight you on this."
"The offer still stands." Cinder replied looking at him.
"Cinder, this is a hard choice to make. But only because the choice is the world or you." Jewel said looking at Cinder. He wanted to do the right thing, but if that meant losing her, he wasn't sure he could do it, no matter how much evil intent she harbored inside her.
"What would make it easier for you?" She asked quietly. It was at this moment Jewel realized how close the two were to each other. The male decided to take a chance, and slowly began to lean in. She mimicked his actions, closing her eyes and leaning in until she felt their lips connect.
This was a new experience for Jewel, it was exciting and terrifying at the same time; So many feelings at once, but all he could really feel was how fast his own heart was beating and thanks to his semblance, he knew Cinder was going through the same thing. After a few moments, Jewel pulled away and gazed into her amber eyes before saying the words he never thought he'd say, "I'll join you."
