Pyrrah's P.O.V.
"Do you believe in destiny?" I asked the woman before me, her amber eyes feeling as if they were burning a hole into my soul. I already knew I had lost this fight, that was blatantly obvious, I was just waiting for what she would do with me.
After a few seconds, she finally answered, "Yes." Then, she rose to her feet and took a step back before creating her bow with shards of glass, an arrow pointed straight at me. And then, it happened, I could only gasp from the pain of the arrow burning its way into the center of my chest. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ruby staring in absolute horror at the sight. Then, I felt the woman's hand on my face before everything seemed to go black.
Cain's P.O.V.
I slowly opened my eyes when a high pitch ring grew louder in my ears. I jumped down from the pure white tree to the pure white grass below, looking around the serene white environment around me. "What was that about?" I asked out loud after the ring had ceased. The afterlife is a lot different then it is portrayed in life, The world is mostly white with gradients of gray, and looks like it could be a real mountain range in Vacuo.
Then, Once again, the ringing grew in my ears when I looked in a certain direction, and when I looked away from it, it grew quieter. "Well, let's check it out." I said before unfurling my wings and flying off toward a the source of the disturbance.
Pyrrah's P.O.V.
I slowly opened my eyes before sitting up and looking at my surroundings. I was on a cliff, overlooking a valley with streams and tall pines, but the strangest thing was everything was white. Pure white everywhere I looked. "W-where, am I?" I asked aloud as I rose to my feet. Looking down, I made another realization, my outfit as well as my surroundings, was pristine white.
"Such a wretched place, isn't it?" I heard a low feminine voice say from behind me. I wheeled around and was met with a woman whit white skin and hair, wearing a black outfit with white gloves, just looking at me with her black and red eyes.
"Who... are you?" I asked nervously, feeling a similar fear as to what I felt when I saw that woman rise up in me.
The pale woman smiled at me and said, "My name is of no importance, but Ms. Nikos, I think we have a lot to discuss." She held out a hand towards me, and when she did, all the fear I had felt just disappeared and I felt myself being pulled in by this woman.
"GET AWAY FROM HER!" A voice suddenly called out, pulling me out of my trance. The next thing I knew, the woman wheeled back to avoid a blast of purple fire from out of nowhere. The next thing I knew, a boy with purple hair and long white wings wielding a long sword stood in between me and the woman.
"Not you again," The woman growled, "You already denied my gifts, leave us!"
"I won't let you hurt anyone like you did Ozpin." The boy replied as he slashed at the woman, sending a wave of energy at her, but before it could hit her, she disappeared into a puff of black smoke. The boy let out a sigh before sheathing his blade in between his wings and turning to face me.
"Sup?" He greeted casually, as if what had just happened was normal.
"Um, W-where are we?" I asked nervously, feeling kind of afraid and confused from my current situation.
He held out his hand and said, "My name's Cain, and if you come with me I'll tell you everything." I was hesitant to go with him, for all I know, he could be dangerous, and after everything I've been through, the last thing I needed was to be in more danger.
"What're you so afraid of?" He asked, giving me comforting smile. Despite every fiber of my being telling me no, I took a step forward and placed my hand on his before we started to walk down a path.
