"Alexander my boy, time is wasting. We have little of precious daylight." Parkis' voice shook young Alexander awake.
Alexander shot up from his bed and tripped over his own two feet. After the black and blue spots disappeared from his vision he arose to the rabbit standing before him. The room was not all that pleasing, the floors were dirty, the wallpaper was yellow and pealing and not to mention the cracks in the hardwood floor and baseboards.
"I thought we would go downstairs and have a cup of tea while we converse," Parkis said oddly cheerfully. "Hmm, what do you say Master Alexander?" He tapped the floor with his shoe and turned to walk down the stairs. "I think you deserve a bit of information about me." He proceeded to walk down the squeaking steps of the stairs.
Alexander shivered again in the eerie feeling of the unfamiliar room. He followed well far behind the rabbit and watched him sit at the table with broken tea cups and saucers.
"Or would you prefer coffee?" He looked up at Alexander who stood in the middle of the staircase. "Come on, sit down." He gestured strongly towards the chair at the three-legged table.
"Tea is fine..." Alexander said cautiously. He sat at the table and stared at the water being poured into the cup.
"Ah yes, of course, you are a tea drinker!" Parkis chuckled.
"You're awfully happy today..." Alexander kept his voice steady and low.
Parkis sat up straight and smiled under the rabbit mask, "yes I am known to be quite the chipper one in the morning."
Parkis slid the saucer and tea across the wobbly table towards Alexander who eyed it carefully. There were white packet capsules on the table, fresh lemon and honey. He stirred the contents in the hot tea until it dissolved. He then noticed the sugar bowl closest to Parkis.
"Well then my boy," Parkis cleared his voice breaking Alexander's curious eyes,
"You killed those children..." Alexander stated but Parkis took it as a question.
"Let me clear something up. You see where I come from it is not exactly sunshine and clear skies and green grass. They wanted death, like you; so they came to my father's door." Parkis had switched to the Fox mask.
"Then why am I not dead yet?" Alexander asked.
Parkis chuckled and went quiet for a moment before swiping the tea pot and precious china off the edge. Alexander jumped in his seat as Parkis lunged across the table at him with a knife to his throat. "You are ignorant!" Parkis spat. "Look at you, not even a man yet. Too mentally insane to even realise who the real monster is."
"You're the insane one!" Alexander's chair leaned backwards and the table pressed against his stomach. "Let me go!"
Parkis' chuckle grew louder into a hysterical laughing fit. "You are hilarious. Look at yourself," Parkis said gingerly. He set the table back and took Alexander by the shoulders and brought him to the cracked mirror in the corner. "You are alive here because I see potential in you, a young... raging boy with a grudge on his back." The grin on the fox mask seemed to grow bigger in the reflection. "I know what you've done..."
Alexander's pupils shrunk and the hair on his back stood up.
"I know you killed those birds, and that cat, what about... Lucy...?" Parkis' voice was chilling.
"That wasn't my fault!" Alexander snapped and turned away from the shadow growing in the reflection. "That wasn't my fault!" He shouted again startling Parkis for a moment.
