"Oh god," Alexander stepped back as the blood began to flood. "Now what?"

"I propose we deliver this," Parkis pulled out a slip of rolled paper from his coat, "I have been saving it thus far."

Alexander held the paper in his hands tenderly as he unrolled it. "This is a birth certificate... for Parkis D. Gavin." His lips trembled in confusion. "Why does it your my name?"

"It has been forged, false certificate for you, my father likely suspects someone older but time works differently here." His eyes looked away. "You are to take this to the duke, do not wear your mask, he will ask for you to meet with the king, show him the mark on your chest."

Alexander was taken aback; he placed a hand over his chest and glared at Parkis. "How did you know about that?"

"You will rightfully be Prince; everything will be recorded down, the next day you will be announced after his recovery. That is when I will become public." Parkis continued. "Do not fail me this time, it must work perfectly."

"He hates you, why would he accept me?" Alexander became upset, "why should I relive the tragedies?"

"You will survive one more day," Parkis assured him, "trust me, things will be different this time, he will not be up to his best after what happened."

"Fine," Alexander said, "I'll do it."

"That is good Alexander, that is good," Parkis hesitated on thanking him but it felt odd. "Be off now, I have to find Pharos."

"You're just going to leave me here?" Alexander asked a bit annoyed.

"Kage is still here, remember that." Parkis disappeared without another word.

Alexander was left alone in the room. He stared down at Corinne who looked up at the bare ceiling. Let out a sigh and grabbed a cover form the canvas layering it down beside her. With a heave she rolled onto it, blood running over the already soaked sheet. He rolled her in it and dragged her across the room closer to her mural. The red paint was already drying as he looked up to the splatter. Alexander sighed cleaning off his messy hands and dipping them into a banister of cleaning water. His suit was fresh from stain but his face still held one spot unclean. Proceeding to a room in which he was not authorised to enter, he snuck in where the duke sat writing down on papers.

"Can I help you sir?" the man looked up and removed his spectacles.

Alexander removed his wolf mask and stepped forward. "I brought this," he held out the rolled paper.

"What is this?" He looked down at the paper and back up to Alexander. There was a look of disbelief in his eyes. "I'm a bit uncertain of things."

"I am Parkis, I have heard around that there was suspicion of me, I just wanted to make myself known to the king." Alexander felt uncomfortable saying Parkis' name in that manner.

"I will have to have a word with King Gavin himself, please wait here." He stood up and instructed guards to wait with him.

Alexander paced about the room with is hands behind his back several minutes before the duke came back to the room. He lifted his head in greeting and motioned for him to follow.

"King Gavin has assured me of the signature on the certificate, he asks of proof from you," he motioned toward the room.

Alexander entered staring nervously around; he tried not to let it show. The king looked better as he sat up in his bed and waved for the doctor to step aside. Alexander's eyes open wide as he finally seen the king up close. At the ceremony his face was obscured by people or was too far away to see.
