I woke up alone in bed the next morning unsure of what had woken me up. Aaron wasn't in the room and I was too tired to go up and check where he went. My body felt sore after yesterday's events, yet I felt better than I ever had. A sting of concern hit me, what if he'd left me?
My stupid thoughts were quickly erased once I saw the curly headed boy walk in through the door. He was shirt-less with only some loosely fitted sweatpants on, in his hands he was carrying a marble tray with lots of food. I pushed myself up in the bed, into a sitting position and looked at him. Not until he opened his mouth to sing I remembered what day it was.
"Happy Birthday Dear Lea, Happy Birthday to you!" Aaron sang while he made his way over to me, he placed the tray on the nightstand and before he could do anything else I pulled him down on bed and pressed my lips against his. "I guess I was your best birthday gift?" he said with amusement in his voice.
"Oh don't think so highly about yourself." I said teasingly, Aaron rolled his eyes playfully but kissed me again. One of his hands rest on my hip while I wrapped my arms around his shoulder, playing with the soft curls in the back of his neck.
"You said something about breakfast?" With a chuckle he pulled away from the kiss and sat down next to me in bed, I wrapped the nude covers around my body and found him smirking. "What?" I asked with a giggle, raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing." He handed me a plate filled to the brim with pancakes, strawberries, watermelon and bananas. I got a painful flashback from the time he'd made me eat so many cheeseburgers that I almost threw up afterwards, only because he'd forgotten that we hadn't eaten since breakfast.
"That smirk on your face tells me otherwise,"
"What smirk?" he said with a chuckle.
"That smirk!" I said touching his bottom lip with the pad of my index finger, now he was grinning like a fool instead.
"I'm just happy," Aaron's voice softened and so did the smile on his face. "happy to be here with you, happy to have you, happy to be able to call you mine...I have a hard time believing that I deserve all this."
"You do..." I grabbed his face in my hands and looked him straight in the eye. "You're amazing and you deserve this and so much more." I peaked his lips and felt a rush of relief run through my body as he dug into the food, he'd accepted my words, for now.
"It's someone that wants to meet you today, seems like I'm not the only one that wants you for myself..." said Aaron with an eye roll once our plates were clean. "I didn't exactly approve but wasn't allowed to say no, we'll have to leave in an hour."
I leaned back against his chest and popped a strawberry into my mouth with a frown. "I don't want to leave..." I sighed. "But if I have to, can't you come with?" Aaron's sighed as well.
"Can't, but I'll be here when you come home." His fingers ran through my hair and I closed my eyes, it was so relaxing to have someone play with your hair. Aaron smoothly wrapped one of his arms around my waist and pulled me flush to his chest, my back was now pressed against it.
"Would you mind getting one of your birthday gifts now?" He mumbled softly as he started kissing down my neck. I sure as hell didn't.

Aaron insisted that I should be blind folded once I got into the car an hour later, after several moments of protesting I gave in. Whatever surprise I had in front of me couldn't be that bad, I tried to tell myself even though my heart was pounding in my chest.
