"You are not the one who should be sorry..." Aaron said just as softly. He gently grabbed my hand and kissed it. "Thank you." He said.

"Thank you for what?" I asked.

"For being here for me, even though you have no reason to. Thank you for caring." He said in the most gentle voice I had ever heard as he repeated the words I had said to him in Florence months before.

"Maxine?" Aaron rose his eyebrows and looked at the black haired girl that wore an elegant shimmery dress and high heels. We had spent the whole night alone up in the attic but Aaron didn't seem to mind and I couldn't have cared less about Regina's and Mark's fancy Christmas dinner. Aaron had sneaked downstairs just an hour after we had entered the attic just to get us some food and had came back just as quickly. We had laid there in the bed, for hours, just eating, talking and getting to know each others better. Vapor had played softly from his phone in the background and I couldn't help the color that rose to my cheeks when I understood that he remembered that it had been the first song we had listened to together. Did that mean that it was our song? My knees felt like jelly when the the word, our, flashed by in my mind. Was this our first our? And how many more would the two of us pass through together? I felt warm and fuzzy inside as I thought about it.

"Earth to Lee, earth to Lee..." Aaron waved his hand in front of my face and I was quickly pulled back to reality. A goofy smile was placed on his lips and even Maxine, that was standing next to him, was smiling foolishly. "You okay baby?" My heart skipped a beat and I nodded.

"Yes, I'm fine. Nice to meet you again Maxine." I put my hand out for the girl and she looked quite suspicious when she grabbed my it. Her eyes narrowed as she shook my hand, her long black nails scraped against my hand.

"Wish I could say the sa-" Aaron had shoved her lightly and she glared at him. "...the same and luckily, I can!" Nice save. Maxine faked a smile but then turned on her heel and walked back to the dining room.

"Don't mind her. She will come around." Aaron wrapped an arm around my waist and kissed my head. I wasn't as sure about it as he seemed to be but decided to keep that to myself. He led me into the dining room. Maxine had already sat down and was talking to Mr James. Aaron sat down and pulled me down on his lap, all the blood in my body rushed to my cheeks and I was sure that I looked like a tomato when the two hundred eyes in the room stared at me. Two of them belonged to Luka. Luka's blue eyes locked with mine and for a moment he didn't look away. The black circles under his eyes was evident when he looked back at me. His stubble had grown quickly since I saw him the last time, you could almost call it a beard. Aaron wrapped his arms tighter around me and I was sure that he had noticed that I had been staring at Luka, I teared my gaze away from him and returned my attention to Aaron. My phone buzzed and I picked it up from my purse.

It was a text from an unknown number.

"How much do you want to keep quiet?" I read the text with a frown and found myself reading it not only once but five times before I put my phone back in my purse. I had no clue what the sender meant. I hadn't seen something I wasn't suppose to see. The text was probably not meant for me, it couldn't be. I decided to not think about it more and instead spend the few minutes I had left in England with Aaron.
