"Rivers! Do you have Johnson's sheet music for First Love?" Mr Brown asked. He was sat behind his desk like the last time I'd seen him two hours ago and didn't seem to have moved from the spot. His copper hair was messy and it looked like he'd ran his fingers through it many times since I left to run some errands for him.

It was my first real day at W E S S and I couldn't help it but notice that something seemed slightly different about Jamie. When I'd met him last Friday he'd been cherish and happy with an amused grin on his face most of the time, but today he seemed stressed and he had barely looked at me. Maybe he'd decided to fire me? Maybe his ex-girlfriend and he was back together and she wanted her job back?

"Yes of course, First Love, Sunset and Idiotic Love Song are in my messeng-"

"Yeah, I need them." He cut me off and knocked lightly on the table to show me to put them there. I took the three songs out of the folder in my messenger bag and put them on his desk. Still he refused to look at me. I cleared my throat but still he didn't seem to want to look at me.

It wasn't like I wanted his attention but I found it rude that he refused to look at me. Sure, I was only his assistant and he was my boss but that didn't mean that he couldn't treat me decently. Luka had described Jamie as a fun and carefree boss — that was the man I'd seen a couple of days ago — but this guy seemed like the typical nightmare boss that screamed at his employees because they brought the wrong coffee.

Kathrin — a violet-headed goddess — walked into the office with her sky-high heels, (that only could be compared to Mell's) buttoned up blouse and short skirt. It was obvious that she had a thing for Jamie. The way she looked at him was almost admiring and I hadn't seen her swing her hips like that when Jamie wasn't around. She flicked her long hair over her shoulder and placed an usb on his desk.

"Some of Dennis' songs, I can ensure you that his album will be done on Friday." Said Kathrin while pouting in a way that made her look like a fish. She put a strand of hair behind her ear and placed a hand on her hips, but Jamie was still staring at his computer screen.

"Great, then we will have it released by next Monday." Mumbled Jamie, he ran a hand through his hair before he continued writing on his computer, his fingers running over the keyboard while he chewed on his bottom lip.

An awkward silence fell over the room, Kathrin crossed her arms over her chest and leaned against the glass wall while I took a seat in one of the comfy arm-chairs. I grabbed my tablet from the coffee table and started working, I felt Kathrin glare at me but couldn't care less.

After being at work a couple of hours yesterday Jamie had decided that he wanted me to help Luka with re-writing his and Aaron's old songs, so that was my project right now, plus being his assistant. Which had been easy yesterday, only thing I'd had to do was bring him coffee a couple of times, today on the other hand I'd started wondering if the man could do anything himself.

"Can you give those papers to Miss Williams, Rivers?" Asked Jamie after minutes of silence, I'd been so concentrated on work that I hadn't heard him until his eyes were boring in to my very soul. I looked at the stack of papers on his desk and slowly arched an eyebrow.

"Her office is just across the hall?" It came out more as a question, even though I knew that she sat only three doors away from Jamie's office.

"I thought I was your boss, not the other way around. I asked you nicely and I ask you again, can you give those papers to Miss Williams?" He said, his voice a lot sharper this time and eyes slightly darker, it reminded me of Aaron when he was mad. With a sigh I grabbed the papers.
