"Jayden wake up" Her mother, Alicia said. "You got 15 minutes before Terrence gets here."

Terrence picked Jayden up almost every day. Other times, she just rode the bus or her dad, Ra'mone, took her when he could. He worked a lot. She didn't get to see him that often. Her n her daddy are very close and he misses him so much. Him and Terrence's dad are good friends too. He actually wants her to be with Terrence. But she already explained all that.

"Ok momma, I'm up. I'm getting ready." Jayden said yawning.

"You came home a little later than usual, where did you and Terrence go?"

"Oh, after the game, we went to eat at Bojangles and made a stop at the gas station. They won by the way. They went into overtime once and almost lost by two points, then Terrence made a three pointer at the very end of the game. It was crazy." Jayden said exited.

"Sounds like y'all had fun." Alicia said smiling. She knew they liked each other. And she knew they were probably going to be together soon. Well she hoped.

A few minutes after Jayden was ready, she saw Terrence's car pull up.

"Bye momma, see you later."

"Bye baby, I love you." Alicia waved.

"Love you too" Jayden said walking out the door.

"Wassup Jay" Terrence said as she got in the car with her book bag.

"Hey T" She said hugging him before she buckled up her seat belt.

The short ride was a little quiet besides the radio station. They always kept it on Power 98. They got to school and he opened her door to let her out (as always) and walked to class. Theyre both in 11th grade and had every class together except two. Everyone thought they were together, because they were always side by side. Terrence didn't mind because it kept most of the other girls away from him. He only cared about one girl and that was Jayden. It was the same way with her too. She knew a lot of guys that either like her or have tried to ask her out. She turned them down and wasn't really interested in any of them. Terrence had her heart.

As far as best friends, it wasn't just the two of them. Jayden had a few girls that she was close with and Terrence had a few niggas he was cool with. They both kept their circle small. This school had the most drama, hoes, gang members, and players. You couldn't trust anybody.

Jayden went to her locker where she saw, Nyla, Hennessey, and Zay'Lynn. These were the only girls she knew she could trust. They were just talking about girl stuff and school and suddenly Jayden felt like she was being watched. She looked over to see if it was Terrence but he was talking to his friends, Jermaine, Chris, and Trey. She was looking around and heard a voice say her name. It sounded familiar. All of a sudden she snapped out of it when one of the girls tapped her.

"Who you looking for Jay?" Zay'Lynn asked with confusion.

"No one, I heard my name being called. Did you hear it?"

The girls looked at each other and giggled. They all shook their head no.

"Are you okay?" Nyla asked still smiling.

"Yeah I'm okay. Forget it, I'm trippin'." Jayden said knowing she really heard something. The bell rang and every one went to class.

Jayden and Terrence met up in the hallway to walk to homeroom.

"Was that you calling my name?"

"No, why?"

"I heard someone and I felt like someone was looking at me." Jayden said looking around as if someone was looking at her now.

"I don't know who said it but you're gorgeous, who wouldn't be looking at you?" Terrence said laughing but still serious. Honestly he didn't want anyone to look at her the way he does.

"I don't know. I guess I was just hearing things. And I'm not that pretty." She said walking into the classroom.

"Whatever" Terrence thought she was the most beautiful thing on earth. He wants to be with her so bad. No, he wanted to marry her. He couldn't see anyone else with her. And he didn't want any other girl. He loves Jayden so much.
