Chapter 12

Terrence stopped Chris in the hallway at school and pulled him to the side.

"Nigga, didn't I tell you if you was gonna try to get with Nyla, you gotta leave her out of yo trap life? Y'all almost fuckin' died man!" Terrence said in a low tone.

"T, I know and I didn't know that shit was gon' happen. I'm not tryna bring her into nun either, I'm not gonna put Ny into sum that might end up killing her. I love that girl.. Real shit."

"Whatever. But if sum happens to her, that's yo ass. I'd suggest you just quit doing what you do or else you gon' end up dead or in jail.. But that's your choice." Terrence said giving him a deadly look and walking away.

"Fuck!" Chris said to himself punching one of the lockers causing people to stare at him.

"Fuck y'all lookin at? Go on wit y'all lives, damn." He said storming off.

"Wassup Jay." Chance came up behind her.

She turned around and fake smiled. "Hey Chance."

"So, what you doing tomorrow after school?"

"Honestly, I don't know. I'll let you know I guess."

"Ight cool. I'll let you go home and get situated. I'll pick you up when you ready.. If you're not doing anything." He said smiling.

"Okay then. I'll see you tomorrow hopefully." She lied and fake smiled again.

Its not that Jayden didn't like him. Its just that she doesn't want to ruin things with Terrence. Chance was nice and all but he wasn't exactly right for her. She knew Terrence was the one and she wasn't messing that up.

"Okay." He winked at her and was about to walk away but then she saw Terrence and this girl talking and what looked like flirting from where she saw it.

"Aye Chance, wait."

He turned around in confusion.

"I'm not doing anything. Pick me up at six."

"Ight Jay. But I just thought about ya Lil friend, T. You still okay with going with me?"

"Yeah I'm good." She winked.

He smiled hard. "Okay, great." And with that he walked off and the bell rang.

She glared at Terrence while going into first block.

Chance walked over to the girl that was talking to Terrence.

"Did it work?" She asked.

"Yeah I think she saw y'all. What did he say to you when you asked to take him out?"

"Well first I was sweet talking and saying he was a good basketball player and that he's fine as I don't know what. Then I touched him and got closer to make it look like we were about to kiss and I asked him. But he pushed me away to go find ol' girl.. Oh and I told her that Jayden was going out with you tomorrow." She explained.

"Good. I'll talk to you later, Shanti."

"Ight."

They parted ways like nothing happened.

Shanti was really just a hoe he used to mess with. She just hangs around and does favors for Chance, even if he wants a lil something from her.

Class was over and the bell rang. Jayden got up from her seat and tried to walk out the room before Terrence could catch up to her. When she though he wasn't following her, she felt a gentle grip around her wrist that pulled her back.
